The other day me and p were having a really shocking time, got our lowest ever MP percentage lol. anyway I was in a proper bad mood come the end of it, one of the last boards I opened 3C AP. I made it due to a clear defensive error by LHO - probably the biggest bridge moaner i've ever come across. After the hand. LHO "why didn't you bid P you have abc points xyz in hearts and blah blah blah blah" - the usual non sensical ramblings, as per usual partner had done NOTHING wrong. P to me - "well done" Me loudly to p - thanks p, but a bit lucky because of the mis-defence on my left. and surprise surprise 3c - 1 was virtually flat Eagles

I thought for a bit but decided to X on the basis that 1 - it's basically take out double shape except for an extra spade and 2) p might be wanting me to X so he can pass it for pens if he has a stack of H himself. However literally everyone else on the hand bid 1S. Was X crazy lol? hmm i take it 2H can be passed? so would 2S be showing a better than minimum hand with longer spades than hearts? really don't want to commit to playing in hearts if p can be say KJ xxx KJx Jxxxx

I kinda thought H lead was pretty automatic on this auction regardless of holding the K or not, so better to play low on the lead - the leader was probably the best player in the room (not that its saying much :D), but obviously your line would have worked!

Ok I'm missing it: why was Mandela so great? sorry but I get fed up of this worship of Blacks and hatred of whites seemingly for no reason. i.e. any white on black crime it's racist, and black on white crime it's a coincidence :rolleyes: To me SA has gone backwards in every way since Mandela. ok thanks folks... I did bid 2 spades but after seeing my hand partner thought I was crazy to bid (the result is a bit irrelevant) Feel that where I play everyone is so conservative i'm sure if you asked ppl there what they thought of 2S they would say 100% crazy :angry: I know most voters and commentors are expert or at least very good advanced so maybe I have to conform to my level a bit more and pass this kinda hand :lol: Eagles

Also commented that S was showing a stronger hand than they had for 2H bid. Thanks, Eagles
