  1. yes 12-14 1NT is the standard around here.
  2. thanks all for votes and reply, a secondary question which isn't really N/B but it's a bit pointless to make a new topic... if the correct answer is to support Hearts, how do we then find the spade game when P has 3/5/(32) and our spades are a lot more solid than hearts? 3 spade = cue for hearts and 4 spades = exclusion? or is 3 spade just natural showing 3 card spade support and not sure where to play at this point? Thanks, Eagles
  3. IMPS [hv=pc=n&e=sakjt9h832dqt9cq3&d=e&v=e&b=6&a=1sp2hp]133|200[/hv] wasn't sure on this one, obviously there's a known fit in Hearts but the spades are so good maybe they're worth a rebid? I decided to support the Hearts but I wasn't confident! Thanks, Eagles
  4. w/w imps ACOL 4 card majors 12-14NT [hv=pc=n&n=sj3hk4dat53cajt76]133|100[/hv] Thanks, Eagles edit: we are dealer
  5. Hi would tend to bid a major over a minor with 4/4 unless very strong, i.e 19 points 4234 would probably start with 1 club rather than 1 spade Eagles
  6. [hv=pc=n&s=sa9863ht5d763c984&d=w&v=e&b=16&a=p1sd]133|200[/hv] 4 card majors weak NT thanks, Eagles
  7. to be fair, yes I'm not playing top end club bridge, but nor am I playing "kitchen bridge in a club" type thing... Dunno what it means but one is ranked NGS 49.7 and the other is NGS 47.9... and I doubt many of the players would even have heard of Leb. but maybe i'm in the lowest 20% :) Thanks, Eagles
  8. Hi Guys, thanks all for the replies. Yes I know Leb (although it wasn't available in this partnership, I was more looking at the hand hypothetically), I just wasn't sure how the continuations should go after 3 clubs Cheers, Eagles
  9. [hv=pc=n&s=sk6hdaq65ckj87643&n=saj4hq7djt93caq95&d=w&v=e&b=16&a=p1n(12-14)2h]266|200[/hv] How to bid to 6 clubs? Thanks, Eagles
  10. i will sometimes join a random table and if my p has no profile i will leave... i guess i should stay play out the hand... meh...
  11. with respect why not just respond to the question, I consider my myself n/b for this forum standard but always look at the expert forum etc to learn and would be interested to hear your "great response" Thanks, Eagles
  12. maybe wrong but if you're playing a strong club system isn't 1D a relay?
  13. Matchpoints as always, 1NT is 12-14 [hv=pc=n&n=sakqt8hj85dt8cqj3&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1np]133|200[/hv] what is the best bid/action here? Have had some conflicting advice! Thanks, Eagles
  14. [hv=pc=n&s=sk43hkt32d5cakj53&d=e&v=e&b=6&a=p1cp1sp]133|200[/hv] I wasn't too sure what to bid here and considered it relatively close between: 2 clubs, 2 hearts and 2 spades  in the end I went for but I wasn't sure if that was right or not and would be interested in opinions! Thanks, Eagles
  15. ok thanks folks, didn't think it was that bad a slam but obviously I was mistaken!! a side question: our sequence was (opps silent) 1H - 1S - 2C - 3N - 4H would 4NT now be keycard in hearts or sign off in no trumps? Thanks, Eagles
  16. thanks, at the table I chose to pass but afterwards I thought I probably should have opened 3clubs even though I didn't have a 7 card suit.. I'll know for next time :)
  17. surely at least heart slam has pretty good play?
  18. [hv=pc=n&s=shaqj842dat2ca762&n=saj963h3dkq65ckj8]133|200[/hv] How to find slam here? East opener, opps silent Thanks, Eagles

  21. [hv=pc=n&s=s86hakdat8754c963]133|100[/hv] open 1D clear or not? (we are first to bid) white/white Thanks, Eagles
