  1. basically I play simple defense. In 1) I win and return the ♣8 in 2) I return the ♥4
  2. 4♥ and pass are about equiprobable to be right so 4♥
  3. In the original auction I go for the weird 4♦ splinter
  4. start with X not 1♠ Your rebid will probably be 3♠
  5. suspect it depends on agreements I would use 2NT as a sort of reverse Lebensohl where over partner's 3m bid I could make a NF 3♥ call. I would expect any 3 level call over 2♠ to be forcing What planet do you live on? Without special agreements 2NT is natural, and any 3-level bid is non-forcing. Don't use Muiderberg but was presuming that 2NT was used to find the minor suit in the 2♠ bidders hand. Having seen some your responses at least I am from this universe :)

  7. OH GOODY!!!! Let's really help the defense figure out my distribution before they make the opening lead
  8. Depends on whether or not your 15-17 1NT calls allow the bidder to hold a 5 card major. If so then 18-19 fits in nicely. If not then you have to use 2NT to show the 15-17 range and bid 3NT with the 18-19
  9. Presummably you have agreements to deal with lite opening hands so no problems with opening. Similarly I expect partner to have values for his double and so I pass at this stage.
  10. I answered this already on RGB and the answer is the same. When I bid 2♥ I made partner captain and all decisions are now his to make.
  11. Just a second, the dog is scratching at the door and needs to go for a walk. 5♥
  12. I think opening 4♠ is slightly worse than passing 4♠ and not that opening 4♠ won't work well fairly often. I would have preferred to open 1♠ and rebid 4 to show a better hand than a direct 4♠
  13. In the first auction I would say 19 would be the min. I ramp up my 1NT overcalls to the 16+ to 18 range, so X and NT rebid is stronger. In the second you have 2♠ and 3♠ available to split the range below game but it should have the same meaning as a 2♠ bid made without the 2♥ interferance.
  14. my take it on this is partner wants you to bid 6 if you have either the A♣ and good ♠ ( maybe as bad as KJT?) or solid ♠ but no ♣ stop.
  15. assuming X is neg then I think pass is the odds on decision. If we have a game partner will have the hand to take some action and should protect us even without that much
  16. a minor with a slight preference for a ♣
