  1. Bid ♥ this will help partner down the road when you start supporting♦
  2. The play of the hand looks ugly for 6♥ as you have practically told the defense to lead ♣ and you need the spades for probable ♣discards consequently I only bid 4♥
  3. your ODR is clearly slanted to D so you D
  4. IMO your choices are pass or 3♥ and I rate them about equal
  5. these are roughly my sentiments :)
  6. possible calls look to be Pass, 3♣, 3♦,2♠. Clearly pass is the straight and narrow call while 3♣ is a psyche. 3♦ makes it harder for the opps to find ♣ but you can only make this call if you are playing RONF, 2♠ while it is your suit do you really want a ♠ lead and of the other 2 suits ♣ is easier to bid because ♥will be available to the partner on the same level.
  7. IMO you're right, she was resulting
  8. possible choices look to be 3♥, 5♣, 6♣,3♦. Assuming 2♠ shows xtras I think 6♣ is not unreasonable
  9. X gets the hand off your chest for the rest of the auction
  10. So what are you going to do after partner bids 4♥?
  11. count me with the spade leaders
  12. as it is MP I think you have to do your best to hold the contract to 4♥=. That is probably best done by switch to a ♣
  13. 5♥ scare them enough and they will sac for you :D
  14. I don't like the play to trick 2 I would have played a low ♣ from hand not the Q
  15. Bid 2♥ so YOU get to play. Actually this will allow you to ruff ♠ in the short ♥ hand whereas 2♦ will ruff ♠ with the long suit
  16. I don't but then I prefer to have a hand that would bid game opposite a LR wondering if I am going to make 6.
  17. I will let partner show me a 4th ♥. That being said I really have no qualms with the 3♥ bidders. LoTT and the ODR are definite reasons to go on. The V vs not is the main negative.
  18. np on auction but after a nonforcing 3♦ it is time to bail out
  19. easier to describe 10 cards than to open now. Singleton Q♦ is essentially wastepaper in this hand and does not change my action. Change a major suit x to a Q and I will open
  20. IMO the options are Pass and 3♠. While I think 4♥ is probably going down at IMPs I pass as a form of insurance against it making. At MP I definitely bid 3♠
  21. So what do you do with 542 AK842 AQ94 5 sell out? If you bid 2♦ isn't that a big spread for such a call?
  22. My preference in these auctions is that the XX is forcing on P unless they want to play 3♣xx. This prevents you from saving the opps when partner holds Axx Kxx xx QJT98 and was going to make a penalty pass. Of course this means your LHO psyched a XX
  23. Well that is debatable as they did sit down at the table :D
