  1. Only personal opinion for what its worth. Partner has intermediate jump you have 4♠, 10-card fit. Likely little wasted values in clubs and hearts. I might not bid 4♠ right away, but over 4♥ I would be very worried that 4♠ might be making never mind a good sacrifice.
  2. I looked some of your hands, found one hand where Gib overbid to 3N which you pulled to 4H. The field allowed 3N to make giving you a bad board. One error by you Gib overcalled 1♥ you bid 1♠ rather than raising with 3♥ and ended up in inferior ♠ contract. Lost of tricks thrown away by you on declarer play (I'm assuming you played all hands if not I apologize) Gib has lots of problem. To help correct them you should post a hand with a problem in the Gib forum. There is a specific forum to try and improve Gib and can ask why Gib did something strange.
  3. I think I would lead a ♣ but your actual holding is probably more important. A hand would be useful.
  4. It's a balanced hand which is very quacky I wouldn't stretch to open. The spade suit is the only reason to open and that might not be lost if you pass.
  5. At my club it is a common occurrence for someone including defence to ask for dummy to adjust their cards, Yes, sometimes I've seen players touch dummies cards but nothing like the mauling the Polish players gave to dummy!
  6. 2♥ is 100% non-forcing. With dead minimum 12 pts and worst possible 4333 distribution am inclined to pass, but wouldn't complain if roles reversed and my partner raised with this hand.
  7. I'm not sure what to bid with east's hand but pass is not a possibility. With 14 pts game is a distinct possibility and for sure you will win the part score battle. Your still playing bridge and that is the obvious reality selling out to 2♠ will be poor score. The only reason for passing would be if partner can psyche a 1st seat opening, my partners aren't that creative.
  8. The problem is the WBF and other NBO have rules and procedures to follow. They can't just punish a pair because someone posted something on the internet no matter how damning it is. So don't blame wbf etc for following their own rules. Now I suspect someone (B) got fed up with players not being prosecuted and took matters in their own hands and posted on internet and to NBO's
  9. minors really irrelevant unless your 5♠ really bad and have 3+ of other minor then X becomes a possibility, 1♠ is common as leaves you with rebid. With 5♥ double more likely as you have no rebid but still 1♥ preferred, rebids aren't as important for overcalls as openings.
  10. go to my bbo then choose convention cards on the right is stock cards you can use maybe bbo advanced 2/1 bottom left you can choose blank cards and fill them out in both cases remember to put your partner's bbo handle in partner at top of convention card then when ever you play with that partner it will automatically be loaded
  11. Structure like this better than standard Jacoby. The jump to 4M on min really kills hands with slam tries. Other uses for 2N with limited hands handle Bridge World hand of death which is hard in standard.
  12. Rebidding a worthless 3♣ doesn't sound like an invite sounds lead inhibiting like he said. Opener's hand would be worth going to game in some eyes.
  13. If I was North and for some reason thought south had 22+ I might be bidding 7♥ that's how ridiculous 5♥ showing 22 pts is Isn't 6♥ ice cold by the way? So why the complaint?
  14. This seems to be a very poor meta-rule which led to an unmakeable 4-1 fit well below the par result. Better would be make the cheapest bid possible consistent with your shape
  15. 3♥ is weird. I'm assuming it's a slam try for diamonds. If so why pass 4♥? this almost assured to be a 4-1 maybe even 3-1 fit which tends to play poorly.
  16. If I "invent" a 2♠ on just 2 I'll have a honor to give partner some chance if they take a chance with only 5.
  17. This is a bad slam. Know ♣ finesse is failing. Limited auction means their also off an ace (description of auction sounds like KC was asked too) So, everything else has to be perfect. If slam goes down as it is odds on to do would anyone complain?
  18. Yes, bidding 3♦ bizarre even if cheating and knows p has 5♦.
  19. Sorry, while bizarre unfortunately isn't close to worst call. If Gib ruffs opening should make 3♦. Weve seen Gib pass an unusual 4N, cuebids. Let opponent play 4M when 7m is cold. The list is long.
  20. I once got booted for passing thruout opps bidding then sacking in 5♦ after they bid game. They didnt think I was playing nice in their sandbox lol.
  21. The person who bids 4N Blackwood is in charge (this is called being the Captain) if they said 5♠ you should respect that and pass. Now, they should have a self-sufficient long spade suit to bid 5♠, which he does not as nothing has said you have any ♠. Also, is wrong for opener to jump to 4N, there is no reason they should think slam is possible they just have a normal hand except for the heart void. After you bid 2♥ his hand is actually worse and if missing an ace will not know if missing the A♥ for slam purposes, due to the ♥ void. So, bidding 4N is a very bad bid. So, what should opener bid over 2♥, they should bid 3♦ to look for a fit. After you then bid 3N with ♣ well stopped, ending auction.
  22. South doesn't have a lead which is obviously better. If I was on lead would lead 9♥ might help on some holdings and not blow the suit on some others. Why lead ♠ and not ♥? But is not totally outrageous lead.
  23. Is easy to boost your TCR. Volunteer as a sub. If you complete tournament as a sub it boosts your TCR but if you disconnect it doesn't count against you.
  24. Have 3♦ & 3♥ available for game tries in ♠. So, double should be penalty.
