Go up with the ♦K play a ♥ to the K and run the marked ♠ finesse and hope that RHO started with 3 or less ♥ cause they should hold the J

They are easily readable....if you have a 25 inch screen :) unfortunately I have a 15 inch screen and to make it legible I have to use the windows magnifier program.

not sure if it is technically correct but there is a lot to be said for 3 rounds of diamonds and that means not taking the finesse. This handles 4-1 diamonds best and also catchs all Qx holdings. As for onside Qxx holdings, playing it this way may make the other side help you when they have to lead

The object when you move should not be to sell your house at the same price but to be able to buy a house equal(not in terms of price though) to the one you now own. Prices are falling at your potential new location as well

Well gut feeling is to play 4♥ and violate "support w/support." The problem in ♠ is if you have to set up ♥ you may not have an entry to the ♥. In my mind this is making the weak hand declarer to ensure maximal tricks from this hand. Of course if partner has a hard ♣ control the hand may play much better in ♠

so what is semi solid I have seen some who are unhappy with AKJT5432 and do not consider it a "solid" suit or how about AKQT432

Certainly any of the next 3 level bids is feasible ...3♥ except I would think this was weaker, 3♠ has to be artificial but even if real has to be a choice of games, and of course 3NT but not crazy about my ♠ stopper but it will generally work out okay.

If the J♠=♥ then surely the T♠=♦ perhaps deception is in order so play the 4♠ to show ♣ to get declarer to either misplay the ♣ or try for 8 other tricks in ♦/♥ (if this is possible)

IMO the technically correct call is 4NT

just call 5♥...this assumes that partner's X is a bust showing call(i.e. no A or K) and holding the Q♦ is only 1/3

Your best shot at playing a contract is just to bid it so ---- 6♦. The combination of needing A,K♣ or the 8♦ and another cover card probably pushes it over 50%

Not sure if you have any or enough differntiation between 5♥ and 5NT. I would think it would make sense for 5NT to be for the minors and 5♠ by partner would be forcing over 5♥
