  1. Obviously GIB doesn't believe it 11-21 HCP, it must be a typo meant to be 11-12 HCP. What's the other bid response options?
  2. Those are barely OK spades suit. Can't GIB rebid 3♣ instead or 2NT?
  3. A lot of rubbish hand description though I would think GIB doesn't have that actually hand description input thankfully. I would think its best to either bid 3♥ over the 3♣ as your hand isn't that suitable for doubling clubs and North hopefully has spades or pass and hope North GIB gives the reasonable double. Accidentally wrote it into the quote.
  4. Wrong subforum- you want tournament subforum.
  5. But it will take more than your lifetime to read, understand and apply the system.
  6. Its rediculous that the description for a rebid of a third hand opener is only 3 Diamonds (most take that the 1NT is only semi-forcing in that position)- Its gotta be 5♦. 3 is for first and second hand. Of course the hearts bid is rubbish only a clubs bid is reasonable- you have to pass that.
  7. Because its GIB. I love the way you have a small slam in clubs.
  8. If you bid 1D, opponents will easily find a major fit at a low level maybe even game as you can only be playing in diamonds anyway with a passed seat 1.
  9. If you knew 3- meant 3 or less then you have to agree GIB hasn't shown more than 13 cards. I don't use GIB, I just enjoy watching others use this faulty software and underdocumented software. It is so underdocumented, the system card is 2 pages, there is a whole lot more in GIB's bidding processes.
  10. Logically North should win the hearts with the J as LHO could hardly be leading from AKJxx but could be leading from AQ10xx(x). North should not continue hearts as it just indicates how to play the hand and sets up hearts. Then set up diamonds so whoever wins will be encouraged to play more hearts. When does GIB follow logic.
  11. Probably not little effect with the programming like it is. While mentioning diamonds at all is silly 0 is within 3- which means 3 or less. It does come out as 13 cards exactly. There are many silly descriptions which don't respresent the hands or what GIB thinks the opponent's hand is.
  12. If partner had more ruffing strength, he'd have picked a higher level than 2♥ like 1♠ and four ♥.
  13. Even better if you can link to the bidding.
  14. Does anyone care that GIB can now open 1 NT with 5422? Should they have bothered with that when GIB has some many faults to be fixed (some of which might be fixed).
  15. Why didn't North open 2♥ -isn't that a preempt?
  16. Even more funny that, yes ♣AK (ruff), I lead J♦ and south ruffs then leads a third club and North ruffs and I overruff and then I eliminate spades and set up the rest.
  17. Couldn't the tables still full be left to run on?
  18. I'd say its neither rather understanding the GIB bidding strategy.
  19. Because its GIB and it can't handle unusual responses.
