your declarer play will definitely improve your defending usually suffers. write to the powers to be to have tournaments that arent barometer scored and best hand at the table is not always you. It's intersesting that some said they bid this way with bots so they can play the hands instead of the bots, now that you get to play hand for the bot it hasnt curtailed alot of weird bidding....either its the state of the match(barometer) or just manipulation....if you look at hand records there is always a 3NT contract making that should never make, probably happens alot more than we realize.

welcome to GIB if you look at all results you will see that there are plenty of gifts that go around by the robots. its up to you to get if from them either by the play or by the bidding

what no one has brought up in this discussion....if a corporation uses your DNA to come up with something for a partricular disease who owns your DNA? thats the next battle in the courts.....chances are they would not let you know that they used your DNA sequence for coming up with some wonder drug.

I have always played that it is penalty oriented towards one or both of the suits allowing partner to double if he has the other trouble is with GIB we never know what he plays until after it happens...while the text box doesnt specify that its just a penalty of 2NT.

GIB uses minor suit stayman but still presses on after partner says he doesnt have a 4 card minor seems like 4NT might be better bid than just bidding 6♣ we already know he has at least 9 cards in minor especially if he were to bid 4NT denying singleton [hv=myhand=M-32941518-1360442101]400|300|[/hv]

when in Rome do what GIB wants till someone corrects it, but I agree its standards are a little too high at times when it comes to point count....but another thing to consider is why did it not bid 3♠ or Lebensol to 3♠ whichever is the invitational bid? Gib sort of F*****d you by not bidding correctly to start with IMHO....but the box does say 9pts or less. so what are the ranges for the two above bids, anyone KNow?

it has been fixed and is working great as far as I am concerned had on in ACBL bot game 3♠ pass 4♠ 4NT we got to five of a minor making better than what it used to be playing 4NT but I think the description I saw was three suit takeout logic would say bid five clubs and if two suited correct to five diamonds then bot should know it is red suit two suiter

yes I have fallen into this trap with GIB numerous times SJ Simon ...."why you lose at bridge" ....trying to turn 50 into 100, or 100 into 200 then going -X30 trying to gain 2 imps vs losing 10, not good imp odds

yes i understand it just a visual mind cue type of thing since you are used to what happens in rotation from your point of view. that was one the things I hated the most in the commercial GIB version.

sad touraments(regionals) arent what they used to be :( Looking at national events now vs then the pairs games are so small ( non championship) Used to be they were 500 plus pairs
