  1. ♥AQ ♥AQJXXXx ♦AXX ♣K AUCTION: 1♥ 2♦ 2♥ PASS 3♣ PASS 3♥ PASS 4♥ PASS PASS PASS at the time my intentions were to try and get the opponents to play me for a club holding where i might score my stiff K ♣. My left hand opponent felt like I has psyched as said no it is a tactical bid. any suggestions.....obviously i scored the K♣ cause he underlead the A♣
  2. I can relate to that having Played with Mike Albert when I lived in Omaha
  3. How about another option on imps scoring where avg isnt used but you are imped against every other pair your direction. Granted it makes the imp scoring more matchpoint like but is very interestiing to play that way. My problem right now is where does a individual game start to statiscially even out.One game I ran had 8 players over 70% for 8 boards.(matchpoint)
  4. having been a beta tester for various software companies, some final release products are a continual beta test on the buyers. Sometimes a beta tester is like a crash test dummy But what is time consuming is always having to go check to see if there aer sitouts and red marked players, it would be nice if it could be automatically done ;)
  5. auction: red vs nv 3♥ x 5♣ x p p 5♥ ? Swiss Qualifying for Knockouts back in 70's you have one masterpoint and are playing against Paul Soloway and Mike Passel You ask Soloway what the 5♣ is and the answer is he's a big boy he knows how to bid his cards. Result: terrible experienced gained: priceless :D
  6. What Fred says is true......having been a recorder for the acbl....they were more concerned about attitude and temperment at the table then they were about bids unless a pair was fielding an unusual amount of questionable calls. They are in the business of selling their product (nonprofit?)....so they want people to feel comfortable.
  7. there are just too many ways to cheat......mirc, instant messaging, telephone on and on. Lets face it there is no way to really stop it. I was a District Recorder for the ACBL and had files of suspicious hands mostly bidding that is about as close as you can come to keeping a record of ones activity then waht you do with it is up to the league or governing body.
  8. i think you have to review the bidding and play.....that has alot to do with it but when a lost connection occurs i would rule avg/avg. If you were playing in a tournament and your partner died in the middle of a hand i hardly think they would give you a avg - for him not being able to finish the hand. :D
  9. when at the talbe menu where we can see all the tables and the ones not playing that are marked in red how about a one click option for automatically getting a substitute and possible being able to mark those that leave tournaments early so that cant be added. just my two cents pig
