  1. While I play Namyats, I would never use it with a Queen high suit. Don't know if this is standard when playing Namyats, but it should be. I play Namyats based on amount of losers of the hand, so if I have QJ109solid 8 or 9 times with some outside values I would still open it Namyats. That's why I made statement in earlier post, I know he should have some outside values if openend Namyats. GBB :)
  2. I like to play 2♦ as invitational + bid. Therefore I will just bid my 3 card suit. GBB
  3. ♠AK pitching a ♥. Pull trump, play AK♣ and run all my trump. GBB :P
  4. I would like to know if my pd plays Namyats. This will make decision a lot easier. Now I have to guess if he has something on the outside ( ♣ ) or he has his everyday 8 card ♥. If not playing Namyats I would bid 6♥, if playing namyats I would bid 5♥ followed by a double of every next bid by them. But not feeling happy with it. GBB :P
  5. 4♥ let them try to find out on 5 level of possible minor suit double fit. I am not going to give them the space on this hand. GBB :P
  6. Guestimating with Zar it tells me I should have slam. Therefore I will bid 5♣ exclusion. I am sure people can come up with hands where grandslam is cold and where maybe game has hard time making, but this is my guideline, and I am using it. GBB :P
  7. 1♠, perfect bid in my eyes. I have no rebid problems, I can compete over 2 level overcalls from opps. And pd knows what I have. 2♠ I would probably never do. 3♠ would be my distant second choice, very distant..... GBB :P
  8. I will bid with A & B all the time, C most of the time, but depending on the system I play. Not sure if I would come into action with Don't or Capp on C. Playing Meckwell I would. GBB :P
  9. Almost 2 years but you already knew that ;) You might think it is clearly better, but I think it is going to be in the ACBL bridgemagazine forum and on another bridgewebsite bidding forum and in IMP, the leading Dutch bridgemagazine. And then we'll see what the "real" experts say and think. GBB :P
  10. I am back !! And I am very sad to see that there are very few that choose to show their shape. You have no rebid problems after any of pd's rebids and all possibilities to find a minorsuit slam. I know that most don't really care about minorsuits anymore but this is what I call a prime hand, A, AK, and Q in pd's first bid suit. How much better can it get for a minimum hand ? So therefore I have decided to come back and help some of you misguided people to come back to see the light. If you need to lie, make the least lie, but there is no reason to lie here. I have posted this also on 2 European forums and so far only 1 vote for 1♠. Everyone else bids the "normal" ( I guess in the rest of the world ) 2♣. GBB :)
  11. Pd has ♠ length, and nothing in ♣, so he must have ♥cards. I will play ♥ back to tap declarer. The bidding is just horrible, just bid 4♠. You really think pd is going to pass with you holding AK of ♣. Horrible bridge.... Mike ;)
  12. Am sure certain teachers are not going like this. Going rate is a lot higher, and I mean a lot, amybe you need a manager ;) hint, hint.... Mike :D
  13. Pass the 2♦ rebid in the 1♠ - 1 NT - 2♦ auction given. Mike ;)
  14. Only way to make this is having very helpfull opps. Mike ;)
  15. Pass is the perfect bid for that, and after opps interfere with 2♥ you bid 3♣. Now you described your hand perfectly. Mike ;)
  16. Am sure you are going to hear this a lot, but open 1 NT and all these problems are prevented. Now I have no idea, it depends on my cards which you didn't show. But in all likelyhood I will pass, just to get this hand over with. Mike ;)
  17. Depends on what you play. I play that after a interference either a suit or a X that when I X or XX I have a negeative response, less the an Ace or King or 2 Queens. Therefore if I pass I have a positive response, more then an Ace, King or 2 Queens. And when pd "reopens" the bidding he/she shows a balanced hand, and strong suggestion to defend. On #3 my 2♦ shows a positive hand, again better then an Ace, King or 2 Queens. I could show a negative with 2♥. So now the X shows again a balanced hand with strong suggestion to defend. It covers all situations, and in most cases even helps out a lot. I prefer people to interfere against my strong 2♣ opener. Mike ;)
  18. Most people I know play it, but I am fairly sure it is not considered standard. Mike ;)
  19. You can play Kokish after 2♣ opening, and differ between different ranges in the NT bid. 2♣ - 2♦ 2 NT = 22-23 2♣ - 2♦ 2♥ - 2♠ (forced) 2NT = 26-27 2♣ - 2♦ 3 NT = 28-29 2♣ - 2♦ 2♥ - 2♠ (forced) 3NT = 30 + It is also a great way to show 2 suited hand, which is a big problem for most strong 2♣ openers. Mike ;)
  20. It doesn't matter what the full hand is. This is a theorethical question, probably based on a real hand since Ben posted it. But maybe it might have been right on this hand to bid 7, since he did post it ;) On the next 15 hands it would be wrong, and bridge is a numbers game, nothing is a 100% all the time, very far from that. Mike :D
  21. That's why after cashing the 2nd ♠, and the ♠ don't behave you abort that plan ;) Mike :D
  22. A ♦ to the 9 is the best line, gives you 73.42% for 4 tricks. Mike :)
