  1. This is the stupidest comment I have ever seen you make.
  2. You are North in 4th seat all NV playing IMPS holding ♠T9643 ♥T94 ♦5 ♣QJ87 and hear the auction proceed West North East South - - 4♦ X P ? which selection do you most prefer?
  3. yeah I am leaning into the wind in that direction maybe the hurricane will be over soon. :)
  4. likewise and I didn't even realize there would be a penalty but even if I had I would have abstained. Sometimes I really don't like the previous call :)
  5. If I read this correctly you want to know if I am bidding constructively or destructively? LOL I have 4 highly probable sure tricks which instantly makes the opponent's chances of finding a game highly unlikely. While my chances are very high so why would I want to make life difficult for my side by any destructive call
  6. move over I guess we will find out in a hurry if this is a two seat bicycle or a band wagon.
  7. well since I consider ♠xxxx ♥Qxx ♦Kxxx ♣Kx a limit raise I have no problem making a limit raise with this
  8. On 1) I would go ahead and try 5♣ because a) you might push them to 5♠ and b] our defensive prospects looks dim and we may be able to hold it to -2 which at MP could/should be the best result we can get at this point. 2) I would pass because while we probably have a fit it could be in 3 suits and we can't untangle the mess at this point. So just try to beat 2♠.
  9. you mean never not I presume in your last sentence :)
  10. Been a while but wasn't Moroni the angel that appeared to Joseph Smith, the LDS founder?
  11. if you don't like X what do you see as your other options? :)
  12. LOTT is wrong and more importantly I don't hold a constructive raise or better. So this is an easy pass
  13. I assume this is a lead question any of T♥ , J♦, or T♣ could work but I would try the T♥. I definitely would not lead a trump :) :)
  14. Bid away, Charge, Visa, Mastercard !!! Why should they go down when we can? :)
  15. hamman eggs in one basket :)
  16. Oh a chance to get into trouble...double :) The problem with 1NT is that you have no real source of tricks so you need to be stronger to compensate. While the double is not perfect and 1NT is not 100% imperfect, X gets the hand off your chest with the most flexiblity as partner now has 3 suits for runout with a 7 point spread making the opponents X more difficult.
  17. I suspect you might get this passed if you are required to state why a down vote is warranted subject to moderation as well as you may not remain anonymous. The moderation point is a problem, a real stickler as none of the yellows want to take much time with this kind of moderation.
  18. What you say definitely has validity the problem is that at the same time you will never convince your partner you have this much offensive power and defense will not be a problem until they get to 5♠ or higher. So the 2♣ call alerts partner that you have this much offensive power and will help him decide to go on to six with say the K♠ and the A♦
  19. What do you mean you don't play negative doubles through 6♦?? :) You really can't stand the pressure of a 6♣ call since it could so easily be wrong so I will take the only other realistic option which is X.
  20. depends on whether or not 1NT opener is allowed to hold a 5 card M. If not then it is pretty much foisted on the bidding system as 15-17 and the 1M opening 3NT rebid is 18-19 balanced. This of course could create a memory load when the auction goes 1m 2NT or 1m 3NT.
  21. The first thing that comes to mind is the requirement to "know" your system IRL. But online notes are easily and quickly available and generally near impossible to pass UI by a quick peek. So assuming enforcability is not an issue will the WBF continue to insist on "no peeking"?
  22. Does "single suited" mean either 5 or 6+ cards? If the latter then do I have 2+♠ and 3+ of both minors?
