Adjusted to 2cards in partner's major after NMF and 3NT. Not able to replicate 4♥ by partner now.
-
I would address this for design decision. Then a change would be applied or kept as it is :)
-
Thanks for reporting. Fixed in v31. It will run away of course to 4♣ with lack of stoppers in short suit shown by responder. However, as in current version v30, GIB wouldn't bid 3♠ with A/K in singleton unless hand is too strong and could override this. Like 14+HCP.
-
Thanks for reporting. The bug was in 2NT rules. Fixed and now it would come easily. And also along the way fixed not to impose on extra length in minor.
-
The reason for 5♠ is that last version v30 contains some "6th sense" for GIB. Over 4NT if GIB sees there are 10+ trumps it would reply about having queen of trumps which very likely will drop. split for 3 missing cards is 78% 2-1 22% 3-0 And as the extra trump length is not always clear, these 1,2,3+ trumps would be equivalent as queen possession.

Should be improved in next version, v31. GIB would prefer more 3NT if there is no ( or chance for ) fit in major and hand is balanced minorish with just game values ( especially with 4minor cards initiating GF).
-
By bidding 4♥, GIB counts this as preemptive jump. Not game values. So after you showed ♥K,♦K,♣AQJ you showed almost double than expected. That's why West was seeded with ♠QJ and East ducked considering you are either void or singleton. Probably strange from human point of view, but entire layout was twisted for EW and mostly East.

Another bidding sequence that breaks the robot

Thanks for reporting. That is fixed in next v31. Looks like just typo counting different variable. So now it looks for "appropriate" partner's suit. -
3♣ could have several balanced hands. 4 lousy spades and 4324. Not good enough to pass as penalty nor 2NT with stopper 3334 is very likely also, still no stopper (32)44 in minors. Double shows just hearts so not obvious you should rebid diamonds. Slim chance for also 2245. still better to rebid 3♣ and would pass 3♦ happily. So 3♦ by partner looks like offer to stop in better red suit. Opener could bid 3♥ with 3 cards, so it would be still better than partner to try guessing and rebid 3♥ instead of 3♦. If opener has something like 3226 that would be just bad luck. In that case North-South could hope 3NT is a consolation stop.

Over 1X - 1Y 2X - 2NT comes more freely for GIB and not asks for stoppers at all. But over 1X - 1Y 2Z - 2NT asks for Qxx/Jxxx or better stopper in 4th unbid suit. Not the best rebid 3♥ obviously, but as per current design GIB picks it. 2♥ and 2♦ are also among sim candiates. 2NT is not.

Thanks for reporting. Fixed in v31 not to "forget" to use these doubles.

If we exclude the hands for Soloway JS GIB will as priority: - Bid 1M with 5+ major suit - Bid 1D with 5+ diamond suit - Bid 1M with 4 major suit - Bid 1D with 4 diamond suit if stronger than 11+HCP - Bid 1NT with what left 6-10

To use Michaels GIB needs 12+ TP in vulnarable and 9+ in none-vulnerable seat. Here GIB has 11TP so if vulnerabilities are reversed would overcall.
-
Over 2NT: - 3♦ - !New minor forcing -- 5+ ♠; 7+ total points - 3♠ - Rebid suit -- 6+ ♠; 6+ HCP; 7+ total points 4♣ shows -> Cue bid -- 3-5 ♣; 2-5 ♦; 2-4 ♥; 2-3 ♥; 18-19 HCP; ♣A; 20-22 total points; partial stop in ♦; partial stop in ♥ Not a slam to regret about ( as you have the three aces as super 19HCP with no losers for slams in spades. If North proceeds with blackwood and bid slam a Q♦ lead might be too bitter to see Kxx in dummy and went down. With the same Aces put the ♥K as ♦K and slam would revert to 50% as maximum. Could have try 6NT from safest side, but then you need the best layout or good finesses if required.

Would be addressed for review, but meantime: - bidding new suit as feature ( QJ+ in suit ) shows 8+HCP by opener. 8-10 actually. - bidding 3NT shows AKQ in the suit. So 9+ at least. - bidding 3M is not really helpful for responder at the moment as could have spread HCP ( alone queen(s) ) but none of the above to be qualified as good hand. So it's ambiguously "weaker" hand.
-
The formula about overcalling consider relation between suit quality and points. Kind of complex, where with such quality like K9xxx it needs 13+HCP. With Jtxxx it needs 14+HCP. With K10xxx it needs 12+HCP. ( as here ). And similarly up/down. ( it will vary from 9 - 15HCP based on these combinations ). Applies for minor overcalls as well. About TOX it's not expected currently by GIB to make TOX with 5 cards in OM and less then 16+HCP.

Nice case. Regarding 3♦ missing spades ( or responder first suit). It's fixed in v30 ( current one ). There was a bug which masked previously promised responder's suit. Now shows 4+ 4+ again. Regarding blackwood. Easy solution could be GIB just to stop in spades in case there are 8+ cards ( GIB will need to look in hand at that moment ). If blackwood is generally over spades might be risky as responder could have just 4 spades and while opener promised just 3 ( overall 7 cards to this moment ) to be undesired contract. So a probable improvement could be regardless the way of bidding( not only after reverse ). GIB might be improved to pick a contract after 4NT where there is higher ranked suit ( mostly major vs minor ). Since two versions ago ( v29 and v30) partner GIB would pass such slam where there are 6+ shown cards ( could be only by opener/responder or also by both partners ).

Thanks. Suit quality variable was little below and card 9 was good enough. Raised, so now same hand needs at least 10 min honor card. Part of v31.
-
Thanks. That was fixed in v30 ( Current one in production ). Now 5NT carries just quantitative invite. Little higher as requirement and 7M is not longer chained with honors.
-
Thanks for reporting. It's a bug and will be fixed in v31.
-
Thanks for reporting. Fixed in v31. GIB would also bid 4M with 4+ cards, just would have wrongly promise fit in minor. Now promises just the suit it bids. Even in case like this ( affected before ): 2♣ - p - 2♦ - 3♣ 3♠ - p - 4♥ In general bug affected 4M rebids by responder which used to promise fit in opener's suit by mistake.
-
Thanks for reporting. Will be fixed in v31. Still, by the way 4♦ doesn't promise something great as fit. GIB says 1+ card, not 3/4+. Book bid is 5♣, but have in mind 3♦ shows nice suit with 6+ headed by AKQ or 7+ with 4/5 top honors.

I think there were several other posts of this kind. The explanation for this "pseudo-Ace" with king is that when GIB have approximate/ sufficient points for slam + fit could "pretend" it has an Ace only in cases when there is side void and to promote a king as an Ace. So in such cases when you're holding this ace could be sure GIB has a void outside the trump ( and 100% not in the suit it bids ). Somehow "last train" cuebid. We removed trump raise like 5M in the past, so there is no other option GIB to continue. As long as it starts with Aces first.

Gib pass my 2C-rebid with 0-card preference

Fixed in v30. -
In theory 4NT RKCB could provide answer unless partner might reply 5NT or up showing void, then queen of trump would remain untraceable. Having 7 + 3 trumps makes queen needless, but in other circumstances it might be precious.
