Tourney GIB as being allowed to simulate or seek for close to book bid moves to 3♥ and don't pass. 3♥ requires 11-12TP, where South has 10.
  2. Thanks for reporting it. Actually explanation was incomplete. GIB wished to show Splinter. 4♦ had to have the meaning which is fixed in next version -> 1- ♦; 3+ ♥; 9+ HCP; 10+ total points Obviously GIB added some "muscularity" based on shape and simming. But looks justified.
  3. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in next version. Now will show -> Odd number of keycards. Void in ♦ -- 0 ♦; rebiddable ♥; 17+ total points
  4. Added term for discussion if EKCB is possible to be applied for next version (v33) in terms of when to be used and constraints for it. Of course replies will be the easiest part. Maybe at least for some clear auctions like: 1M - 2x 3x - 5z 1M - 2x 2M - 5z 1M - 2x 2y/M - 3M 4♠(if 1♥ opening)/5z 2♣ - 2♦ 2M - 3M 4♠(if M=♥)/5z But will add more information when scenario is more clear about it.
  5. Explanation is corrected to natural and forcing in next version.
  6. Next version will allow: Responder's 2nd level rebid using new suit would be INV+ ( forcing only to 3 of "our" minor ) or 2NT would be INV and could be passed. Responder's 3rd level rebid will be GF. Responder will raise and respectively initiate Inverted minor sequence only with lack of honors in two or more of rest aside suits with 4333 or 4m4m32 hand. It doesn't mean stoppers, just Jx / Jxx / Qx or better would let GIB pick 1NT/2NT first, then 2♣/♦.
  7. When there are values close to slam or GF+, like here, GIB could make fake-ace-cuebid. It only happens when there is aside void. And this suit where GIB cuebids is never the void, its headed with King+. And the explanation cannot reveal which of these both cases is ( real Ace or K+ and aside void ).
  8. Thanks for reporting it. Should be fixed now ( will show it as natural selection, not cuebid ) and also will show reduced values , not more than 14TP, as you didn't bid that major earlier.
  9. 3♠ would mean the same, but it asks for 9+HCP ( and not bare A/K in the shortness ), based on certain GF. Note taken, to be addressed if 8HCP is still good enough to be used with 0-1 cards.
  10. Thanks for reporting. Both N and S calls were corrected in next v33. When opener gives fit to partner's diamonds will show 5+♣ 4+♦ as here. New 3♦ would have the meaning -> -- 5+ ♣; 4+ ♦; 15-18 total points On the other side, 3♥ ( or the unbid major ) would show -> 5+ ♦; 4+ ♥; 10+ total points
  11. Note taken about 2N/3N fixing ( + explanations ) .
  12. Thanks for reporting. I hope this issue is fixed. At least cannot be replicated now and major comes first. Both hands in question are bidding now 3M.
  13. Yes, thank you, i combined both cases. Explanation for the displayed diagram would show -> -- 4+ ♣; 3+ ♦; 3+ ♥; 2- ♠; 9+ total points For the hearts opening would be -> -- 4+ ♣; 3+ ♦; 2- ♥; 3+ ♠; 9+ total points
  14. Thanks for reporting. Note taken for fixing this in appropriate way.
  15. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in next version, v33, where GIB would move and won't be tempted to pass.
  16. Thanks for reporting. Will be addressed as currently to disobey the 3♣ forced call, GIB needs 6+ cards.
  17. More likely denies ♠ cuebid. If we are about to lose two spades, ♦A won't help if opener show it. And 4♦ should more likely promise ♠ cuebid than ♦.
  18. Thanks for reporting. These are fixed in next version. 1NT/2NT ( where there is no jump ) would promise 16-18HCPs. Direct 2NT ( without Double first ) promises 19-21, so Double and jump would promise the 21-23HCPs. Also if partner has bid a major, NT would deny 4 cards and will show 2-3 in that suit. For minor would show normal NT shape. So cases 1 and 2 are fixed. Hand #3 ( board 6) is kind of exceptional, where 1NT cannot promise 16-18, but 19-21, as 1♣-1NT 15-18 was skipped, very unlikely situation to be again 16-18. What would you do with 19-21?
  19. Will be addressed for improvement as at first glance "1♣/♦ - Pass - 1NT - Double" doesn't promise majors ( at least not both ). Passed hand could lean to it, but it should be described which at the moment is obviously missed to be separated. And for consistency it's not quite clear cuebidding opened major promise necessarily majors. Let say you had 5332 with 5 cards in the same minor, or worst 6322. Opening is still 3+ , so you won't have really option to express your hand. Opener could be 4M-4M and 3-2 minors.
  20. To make GIB stops in 6NT once you initiated Blackwood you could bid ( to play ) it only if you followed the steps to ask , not tell. So over 5♥ you could bid it now or bid 5NT instead to ask for kings and then bid 6NT. GIB would pass in both of these cases. Including going through asking for queen if reply was 5♣/5♦. Here 5♠ broke this captaincy sequence of the 4NT start.
  21. No, if you pass you doesn't necessarily mean you're void, but you don't want to defend 4♥. In other words - no suitable call. Even same hand but having 0 HCP, and xxx.xx.xxxxx.xxx would pass. To bid 4♠, conditions are same for GIB, just it won't promise the GF's values. Same if human does it. 1+ comes from the less required length to provide fit, partner promises 7+ solid trumps.
  22. Thanks for reporting. Previously it wasn't included in the sequences about similar intervention by opponents. Now it's added. So if South uses now new suit over NT replies would shows spliter. Similar if North bid a suit and not NT.
  23. Thanks for reporting it. Fixed in next version where your raise won't be taken as promising GF, once they claimed such. So all it would show would be : 1+ ♠
  24. Even i didn't respond, all created topics are reviewed timely. We receive them in several ways, even if they are not showing Views here. Also including the GIB report button for web version. I am doing this now, trying to catch up for as more as i can of them. Some are needing more time for investigation, some less. Then time for changing the gib's system codes, testing, etc. However, there was significant pause in replies, sorry about it.
  25. Thanks for reporting. Will address it, as could be generally tweaked. I.e. for direct opening 1NT, overcall like here, 4th seat 1NT, etc.
