  1. Pass? to pessimistic and is out, 3H? I would never overcall a 4-card suit at 3-level. 3N? It has to be natural and to play. Unless I am crazy, I would never bid NT with stiff (and small) diamond. 5C? I wouldn't do that before consulting with my pd. That leaves dbl and 4C. Over my dbl, if pd bids 3S, I will "correct" to 4C, hopefully pd would not take it as double-and-bid hand; If my pd bid 4S, I would have to pass. I will also pass my pd's 3NT. 4C is the least evil bid.
  2. I would have raised to 2H with my prime 7 hcp. 1NT is acceptable though. Now I would bid 4H for sure.
  3. I voted for "always pass" before I carefully read the post. I thought it was between pass and dbl I would never dbl with this strength and shape). I would overcall with strong 4-carder.
  4. There are two choices for me: pass or 3NT. 3S would never come to my mind. You have to refrain yourself of bidding 3S if it ever comes to your mind.
  5. 1) 2H 2) pass 3) maybe a little, but not much.
  6. Justin said what I want to say.
  7. 4H. I love my whole hand, 5th H and T98, plus stiff S. After the fit shown from pd, I don't see many losers, so bid a game directly.
  8. same as Justin, 2N and 3C. wtp?
  9. 3♥ of course. 3aces, DAJTxx, plus a singleton, not a minimum for 3♥. It's close call for North to accept or not, though. Singleton in pd's suit was not so great, plus 4 trumps only.
  10. I don't like the double either. It's kind of master-minded.

    rebid

Since I have upgraded my hand by opening 1D, what else can I bid except 2NT?
  12. enough? You think 4S could be set? I would bid 6S, risking a cold 7S (and going down for cold game only).
  13. You mean double dummy? I don't see how you can beat 4S.
  14. 2D, regardless you use reverse drury or not.
  15. I would bid 2D, too. After x, some level of hearts from pd would not be a surprise.
  16. 2H is a huge underbid. 2S is the bid I would choose. Some pairs play 1NT in this situation as "regular" raise of 2H, 2H is "weaker" raise (7- HCP or so). Even with this convention, 1NT would still be underbid. Without RHO's intervention, I would respond 1NT and intend to bid 3H next round.
  17. I would bid 7S over pd 7H and might say bye-bye after this hand. directly bidding at 7 level would never expect pd to "correct" to other suit, void or not in my suit.
  18. redouble has never been my favorite call, and same for this hand. Directly bid at 7 level would never expect pd to "correct" to other suit, void or not.
  19. I would overcall 1H as Justin would. If it passes to my rho who dbls, I would pull to 2C.
