  1. dbl over pd's dbl? I don't know bridge rules allow that.
  2. You were not wrong, your pd was. As others said, it's close between dbl and 2H, and I might choose 2H too. With 13 count and 4-card support, to pass your 2H is a crime. Yes, DK might be completely waste and 4-3-3-3 is not great, but still he owed you a 3H raise (if not 3D for stronger raise).
  3. Well, this time I don't agree. Your 1NT already shows less than 3 hearts (usually). You do have heart tolerance. 2NT would be fine for me as well, slightly inferior than double.
  4. 1D, 1S and 2D are normal calls. South's final pass was also fine (what can you do?). I think 3S was wrong. I would bid 3D (or even 2H) over 2C. South, marked with at least 5-4, would bid 3S over 3D if he has 3 spades or even Hx.
  5. There are two choices, 4NT or double. I prefer 4NT over X.
  6. My first reaction is 3D. But then, thinking what I would do after pd's 3H, I reluctantly chose to pass.
  7. It showes support. If a cue-bid were below 3NT, it could be ambiguous.
  8. I belong the strong reverse group. But I would consider rebidding 2H when pd respond 1S since I have a fit. If pd responds 1D, I would rebid 1H.
  9. I am OK with 2C opening. The worst bid is 4C, followed by 4NT, the third worst is 6C. North bid 2H and 3H, South got no reason believing 6C was better than 6H (North showed 2 majors with 6+ hearts). BTW, I like whereagles' sequence with one amendment: I would correct 3NT to 4H as North.
  10. As others said, South misdescribed his hand. But that should make the bidding easier for this hand. North, with primary cards in unbid suits and QJ support for pd's 2nd suit, should cooperate with 3D. Having said that, I would probably bid as follows if I were South: 1N - 4D 4H - 4N ... 6H.
  11. I have to take the chance that the opp who has ♣A has (at most) 2 spades only. So I need to cash ♠AK at tricks #2&3, and then play clubs.
  12. Yes, Ace of ♥. A classical hand like that I read came out immediately when I see this post. If HK on dummy, continue with Hx, else, switch to ♠K or a minor.
  13. It's tough. I will probably bid 2NT or 3NT, want to be declarer.
  14. Well, I don't agree. 3S might be natural and risky that pd bid 6S over 6H. Again, 4C certainly shows control and pd could bid 6H while opps cash the first two tricks. I personally prefer 3S over 4C. The best way is to bid 5H directly over 3H. If I wanted to investigate strength of H, I would bid 4NT as RKC. So direct 5H should ask club control.
