The blue (with 3 while lines) button has options to show NS CC and EW CC if they are available. For that, the corresponsing pair must have set up a CC. as Flash/HTML5 client set CC by pairs rather by individuals, they are automatically used when a pair sits at a table.

This is being deployed as we speak. However, rather than deal with invividual clubs, BBO is setting up deals with Federations. For example: VACB<number> host is running a tournament for the club identified by <number>. You can check in Viirtual Clubs (sorry, menu not available in the Very Old Client you use) Please contact the FEB, tell them to contact BBO, to set up one of these tournaments.

The mobile app picks its language from its environment. Currently there is no option to change it.

Unknow Error - Substituting players
Gerardo replied to Cods3003's topic in BBO Tournament Directors Forum
A sub can be used only once per tourney. -
The number BBO shows is related to points won in BBO, which could be ACBL or not. But would never be related with ACBL MPs won offline.
-
Contact your NBO, it goes thru them. In your case, the ACBL.

Happens often. Another table must finish so the pairs at the finished table can be paired for the next round. If there is none (yet) available, tables finishing early must wait. Further rounds may complicate this to avoid replays, but not sure that's the case.

2020-04-07 14:15:03 TOURNEY DEREGISTER <partner>+lefrench because <partner> is missing Logs are in the America/Chicago timezone. Same partner, who reconnected 2 seconds after this happened. Tourney was: #4187 ACBL Tue Pairs 3:15PM (18 Boards)
-
It means one this happened: 1) One or both players were inegible to be seated at the time the tourney started. 2) One or both players couldn't cover the entry fee. today, at 15:15:11: TOURNEY DEREGISTER Lefrench+<partner> because <partner> is missing Your partner reconnected at 15:15:27, but by then, it was too late. There are other reasons to be inegible, I remember two from the top of my head: Playing in another tourney (or match) Being in a teching table (I think sitting, but not sure)

How to upload picture to profile - system not working
Gerardo replied to TonyF48's topic in BBO Support Forum
Pictures are disabled at this time, to ease system load, which have been unstable at peak times. -
Multiple Teams, no. Well, you can run them, but you have collect the results and do the scoring on your own. Swiss Pairs, yes, we call them Swiss. THey are actually Danish, I believe in all rounds. Rare, but may happen.

Pairs Tournament: sitouts at half table
Gerardo replied to morganwilk's topic in BBO Tournament Directors Forum
Yes, you can do that. It is quite unusual, but doable. IIRC, there was/is an issue with survivor type tournaments and not filled sitouts, so avoid those, just in case. -
Finding results as TD, after tournament ends
Gerardo replied to Geoff103's topic in BBO Tournament Directors Forum
If you want to adjust results, there is a 20 minutes window between the end of the tourney and the saving of all results. You can see specific player's results via the Director tab (click on tourney line, then on Player's results, and enter a player's name). -
You can see the tourneys you direct on the Director tab in the right panel under "Pending Tournaments", no time limit.

How do BBO players reach rank J, Q, K, A
Gerardo replied to jamegumb's topic in General BBO Discussion
Those a positional rather than absolute , Top: 1, 10, 100, 250 if I remember correctly. -
Below the list of friends, there is an "Add a friend" button.
-
If you want to to that, you can look at History, where last deal is displayed, before starting the next hand.
-
This was done by the time the Flash client was created. Don't know the rationale but guess the same, deemed the number of tables using it was too small for the effort needed to implement them.
-
Yes. Select MP as scoring when you open the table. You can't change the score once the table is opened. To change it, must close and reopen the table.
-
Flash is obsolete (browsers will disable it at the end of this year). That's why BBO's Flash client is going away.
-
Those tourneys are organized by brick-and-mortar clubs, which doors are currently closed due to covid-19.
-
Go to "Specific Areas" First entry is "ACBL World" Look there for a button to Update your ACBL #.
-
You currently can have 1 (one) tournament listed at any given time (in Pending/Running states). After said tournament finishes, you can post the next one. So, there is no limit on the how many tourneys you can post, the limit is on how many you post at any given time. You probably tried to double post a tournament, it would get you this message. Regards, Gerardo

You need to either: load a lin file with the hands (if you have them in another format, you need to convert them) OR create the hands using the hand editor Both option in the Account tab -> Hand Archive (or My BBO -> Hands and results in the Flash client)
-
TD/Director tab in the right panel, click on the tourney you want to talk to (menu pops up) click on ChatThe Account tab in the right panelTD/Director tab, button at the bottom, besides Create Tourney.
