  1. Many related questions, starting with: is bridge a game of skill, or a game of luck? But there are many people, and more relevant to this argument, regulatory frameworks who do think this way.
  2. More so, ertnicity has nothing to do with it. We don't even have that information.
  3. That is possible. Then they switched from earlier sessions.
  4. Are you using a different username? This one played 2 days in April and 4 in May. It is quite a small sample to say "day after day" This are the frequencies for distribution and points: +--------------+----------+ +--------+----------+ | distribution | # boards | | points | # boards | +--------------+----------+ +--------+----------+ | 4-3-3-3 | 4 | | 3 | 1 | | 4-4-3-2 | 20 | | 4 | 5 | | 4-4-4-1 | 2 | | 5 | 5 | | 5-3-3-2 | 11 | | 6 | 6 | | 5-4-2-2 | 11 | | 7 | 3 | | 5-4-3-1 | 14 | | 8 | 8 | | 5-4-4-0 | 2 | | 9 | 8 | | 5-5-2-1 | 4 | | 10 | 7 | | 6-3-2-2 | 6 | | 11 | 8 | | 6-3-3-1 | 4 | | 12 | 9 | | 6-4-2-1 | 4 | | 13 | 7 | | 6-5-1-1 | 3 | | 14 | 8 | | 6-5-2-0 | 2 | | 15 | 3 | | 7-2-2-2 | 1 | | 16 | 4 | | 7-3-2-1 | 3 | | 17 | 3 | | 8-2-2-1 | 1 | | 18 | 1 | | 8-3-2-0 | 1 | | 19 | 1 | +--------------+----------+ | 21 | 1 | +--------+----------+ They look fairly normal to me, but I have no background in statistics.
  5. While anyone who spent some amount of time is these Forums can tell, Richard is not a BBO developer. However, the OP is new to these Forums. Don't want anyone to think that answer is an official one.
  6. Hands don't go to history until they are completely played As in, a predeterminate number of times. Currently the number is 16 times.
  7. There is a 3rd set, you have 3 different matches, and each one has its own set.
  8. These are one and done, so no need to preduplicate them. On BBO: And the matches are played in 2 stages, first the open room, then the closed room, with 2 different pairs, but boards are there. Live: EW take the boards to their NS table for the replay, and move to the other table, where boards just played by their NS will be.
  9. No one sits out, 12 players, 4 players per match at any given time. But you have to wait until all 3 Open Rooms are finished before moving the players. Aha. Can't do it with one set of boards, you need 3. Every player will play 2 of those sets.
  10. There is a way to do a 3-way match. Create 3 matches. Fill the open rooms only. Leave the closed rooms empty. Play all the boards. Once everyone finished, sub everyone in the proper seat in a Closed Room, NS where EW teammates played, EW where NS teammates played. Replay all the boards. There are now 3 different matches played.
  11. Please use Myhands, you can go back up to March 1st at this point. Please point out any pair of duplicated hands you find (hand on this date and and on this other date are the same).
  12. For BBO games, go to People Search, look for ACBL_ , check who is online. For th Endless Summer games: same, but look for ACBLT. VC ACBL: usually vacb<club number>. There is 20 minutes after tourney ends to make adjustments (even for them).
  13. Pairs tourneys on BBO require, by default, that both players are available at seating time. This implies: 1) Online (and since the server split, online in the right server, not the Casual one)2) Not otherwise engaged (like playing in another tourney, teaching in a teaching table.3) Being able to cover the fee if there is one. If either player is unavailable, the pair is not seated (nor charged).
  14. As far as I know, that note refers to the Flash client, because browsers will stop supporting Flash. I know of no plans of discontinuing the Windows Client. (though I am persuaded it will happen sooner or later, it has 10+ years of no development).
  15. Thank you for pointing it out., sorry for the delay.
  16. Thanks, overlooked this condition when looked for refunds. Will look into this.
  17. But you can always generate a set of random boards, and then replace a couple of them with cooked ones.
  18. If the table host use a New client (HTML5/Mobile), you need a New client too. If the table host use an Old client (Windows/Flash): If you have an Old client: Proceed as normal If you have a New client: Open the profile of the table host, then Join table. At play time: If you have 4 people with a New client: All 4 join Casual, then open table. Else, a player with an Old client servers the table, see above on how to join.
  19. Virtual Clubs, only in ACBL "Live for Clubs", following ACBL request.
  20. If you enlarge the table space so much than the chat space is gone from the left panel, it becomes a separate tab, labeled "Chat", in the right panel. To restore it to the left panel, move the line at the botton of the table space up until you can see the chat space below it.
  21. You withdrew from both of those. Check Myhands for the last week, you'll see the difference with other robot tournaments, played to completion.
  22. There is not problem with having multiple accounts. Using them at the same time, as you mention, is a different issue.
  23. If you do this, it certainly defeats the purpose of the split (to make room in the main server, which was at capacity in peak times).
  24. It is no different than partner alerting and explaining their agreement when applicable. People are still allowed to deviate from their agreements, and opps are entitle only to the agreement, not the deviation. If the deviation is common enough for the partner to pick it up, though, then it should be included as part of the agreement (by whoever is supposed to alert / explain).
