[False] NEW BBO SOFTWARE REDUCING SUBS TCRS IN TOURNEYS
Gerardo replied to nancylh's topic in Suggestions for the Software
Nancy: In the last 60 days you finished 9 tournanaments, and started AND didn't finish 1. 2020-06-13 #3105 Express - 4 Fast Boards You registered, started, were replaced by a robot. So your TCR, accordingly, is not 100%. This tourney be counted until 2020-08-13 (possibly the END of that day). TCR is a measure of disruptiveness. Consequently, why you didn't finish a tournament does not matter. It is disruptive, so it counts. "NEW" BBO software is irrelevant. It is a server feature, affects all clients. It is working as intended. Does not affect subs, only starters. -
Perfect explanation. But the period is 60 days, not 30.

Yes, +rounds<number>+ only applies to Howells. The first novice session was #9910. Somehow it had 48 deals available rather than 24, so it was able to manage 27.

Registered Pair not included in Tournament
Gerardo replied to jdempsey52's topic in BBO Tournament Directors Forum
On the tourney vEBU451175 refers to: Confirmed one of the players was playing an instant tournament at the time of the seating call. That caused the pair to miss the seating call. Also, allavail was not used. Specific details in private message as requested. -
+hm18+ is used to decide between howell and mitchell, and it is fixed at 18 at this time. The one needed to curtail it is +rounds<number>+, in #9734 case +rounds12+ as you have 2 boards per round and 24 boards. #9758 was also set as full howell, 7 tables so 13 rounds, so 26 boards needed, didn't have enough boards. As tourneys were cancelled at the start, no player was seated, and so no player was charged. If a tourney is cancelled after the start, all fees are refunded. #9671 and #9709 had 1 board per round rather than 2, so they needed 19 and 17 boards respectively so 24 boards was enough for both.

I know a few cases of friendship (and more) made on BBO. I am sure there are many I don't know.

[NOT a ]Bug - Score assigned in wrong direction [TD Error in adjusting]
Gerardo replied to psyck's topic in BBO Support Forum
2020-07-30 Tourney 8463 Board 1 It was adjusted to 4SE+1 by binnyboy, at 2020-07-30 13:14:26 UTC. Intended to correct 10 tricks to 11, changed declarer in the process Suggest TD to adjust it to correct result, if still in adjusting period. Too late now. -
Boards are reported at the end of the tournament. Adjusted boards are reported at the end of the adjustment period.

Your prospective partner need to accept the invitation, so s/he must be online. And no, you can invite paying for your partner, or letting him/her pay.
-
For Daylongs, travellers show all the different results for a given board, with a sample movie and a frequency, not each individual result. Vampyr, I don't follow your objections. Once you have different sets of boards for different people as a condition, what's wrong with the way is currently done?

A TD (or several) can be added to a match in the same way they can be added to a tourney. Indeed, I'd expect much fewer calls from a match than from a tourney (less people, no time restrictions). A single TD might take care of several/many matches. Would be possiblt to have a pool of TDs to ensure at least one in available when a match is run. First line might be a player in the same event, in an different division, provided they have TD credentials. On disagreements with an eventual ruling, a senior TD may be consulted (as I understand is the practice for these type of matches IRL, what is the cost there?). An issue on BBO is that there are 20 minutes after the match is over as adjustment period, before BBO records are fixed. And while would be good to rely on them, you don't need to if you keep track of adjustments not reflected in BBO results. Does the League have a fee? If so, seems fair to me to give TDs a compensation. It could be per attended call.

BBO allows you to enter a claim statement. It is rarely done. Where there is a Director, it can be called on contested claims. If you have matches without a Director, and have issues with this, maybe you can have a Director.

Hosts and TDs have a thankless job. As long as they don't try to pass things like "no <nationality> here" (but note than "only <nationality> here" is OK) they always have control of include and exclude list for their own tourneys. Why do they have to allow people they consider troublemakers?

There is a VERY slim chance you'll get an answer to the question in your OP. Only Calabres have such answer, and don't think he would answer here. Nor he has to. Nor he has to answer to you, at all. By the way, you Finally rached 94% TCR (33 finished, 2 bailed) And the ones you bailed from were BBO Express tournaments. They have No Director. The only way to get out of them is withdrawing. No one booted you from a tournament, not in the last 60 (actually, checked) 120 days.

Consistently more HCP on one side
Gerardo replied to suresh3's topic in Suggestions for the Software
If you are playing duplicated hands (MP/IMP as opposed to Total Point), please use Myhands, do actual calculations, come back with results. . -
Reason it goes down: You didn't finish tourney(s). It is called Tourney Completion Rate. You don't complete tourneys, it goes down. For whatever reason. Didn't complete: 6806 on 2020-05-29 1222 on 2020-06-04 Completed another 31 in the last 60 days. 31 / 33 = 0.9394 If you finish one more: 32 / 34 = 0.9412, so it will show 94%. You'll have 100 back on August 4th, provided you complete all the tourneys you start from now to that date.

Or two of the people withdrew without being replaced, that automatically closes the match.
-
You could adjust every board from round 10 on to A== (or A++). Quite tedious, but would keep results and relative positions..

hi Elianna, there are lines between the left and the right panels (and the play and chat area). You can enlarge the size of one af the expense of the other. There are 3 little lines in the middle of the line separators, they can the dragged to move the separator, resizing the areas.

The tourney organizer should set such policy if they want to. (and they should announce it in that case). I wouldn't do it on my own.
