  1. Devices running Android and iOS can run only one version of BBO, the newest one (one of the reasons the newest version cae around, alongside the demise of Adobe Flash).
  2. First: Welcome to the forum! Yes. New users (as you are), upvote limit is 0 per day. The next status (conditions intentionally left undisclosed) allows some upvoting. Regards, Gerardo
  3. That's when the day changes (Mindnight US Central).
  4. Gerardo 46 - Robot 28 Challenge with Mkgnao ongoing, him to finish playing. Sorry if I missed a challenge.
  5. IIRC, a late start poll would still show at the top.
  6. We recently changed the configuration of the preview to make it work with some types of firewalls. Please retry.
  7. 2n-1 :) Just give a bye in the first round, last winner, perhaps? Then everything falls in place.
  8. I agree the comment was irrelevant, because the auction told that story already.. Based on this, no LA to a ♦ for me.
  9. What about his history? At one point the "should" should become a "must" on (even worse, intentional) ocurrences. How much was he penalized on this? A proper sliding scale may have him at 200%.
  10. DISCLAIMER: THis software, and his author, is not related to BBO in any way, expect for him bring a BBO user. I'm not endorsing it, just pointing out it does exist. Tenace is a hand viewer and editor which supports LIN. I'm not a Mac user. Some dependencies of this program might need to be installed to be able to compile and run it. Alternatively, some software (for example, Wine) allows you to run Windows binaries, including the original BBO client.
  11. When people disagree on the number of tricks taken, the procedure for settling it usually involves reviewing a trick by trick replay to settle discrepancies. That's why the rules say quitted tricks must be kept in the order they were played. And yes, dummy and defenders should keep an eye on what their partner is doing .
  12. I am to be blamed for the hand not to appear. I think it is fixed now.
  13. Sorry, but they never did. Mobile and the preview (same code, HTML5 based) do not have voice yet.
  14. BBO reports the team match as played by the players sitting in the last board. Almost all BBO team matches have no further consequence after the match is over. What's the point of having a count of win/loss here? There are some online competitions using BBO as a medium, of several seriousness. they come up with their own mathods of manage missing people and scorekeeping.
  15. Did you try the diagram mode?
  16. The problem with that is, even if it is obvious to you, it may not be obvious to declarer (because there is no claim yet), and it may be construed as dummy giving information to declarer.
  17. Dummy intervention is not illegal, Law 68 (Claims or Concession of Tricks) D (Suspension of Play) states: but said intervention is irrelevant here. You have no UI, you have AI (information came from opponents, not your partner), and dummy's comment does not cancel the concession. You are also allowed to take your time, as you had a legitimate bridge problem. So you can: 1. Accept the concession OR 2. Describe the line leading to two tricks to your side. OR 3. Continue playing, and lead the low ♠. All leading to two tricks to your side.
  18. This policy changed recently with the introduction of temporary memberships. Now sectionals and regionals require you to be a member. Not sure about STACs.
  19. North needs at least one more club to cuebid, possibly 2. KQx not nearly good enough.
  20. The brake here is the cheaper bid between 2NT and the 4th suit.
  21. What would be 2♥ (4th suit) by responder here? Should be very weak, but does it deny 5+♠? I would take 4♥ here as splinter (must have 3 cards, as you already denied 4), and the strongest bid here. So 3♠ and 4♠ would be NF.
  22. Sorry for you loss, Timo. Ece was always friendly.
  23. I don't think this is true. Would be best if you have some documentation (CC, or supplementary notes). But if that's your agreement, that's how it should be explained. Partner would also have to explain tendencies on what s/he observed on your choice, if s/he noticed any.
