what is wrong with 1spade 4 club (splinter) ? you have nice spade support and the hearts there is no guarentee of a fit, so why look, if 2 hearts is not forcing?

I still can't get into my head, why you would take offence at (I think I understand you) my passing the order to bid. I screwed up, that is all, surely that does not entitle you (if you were my p) to take offence a good p is forgiving p, not someone that screws up even in such a blatantly bad fashion

opening 2!C does not guarantee game and does not guarentee good imps or mps, it just shows a strong hand as per your agreement and I have gone donw in game because my p or myself has had nothing worth bidding on (that may be because I am not that good but I still cant believe opening 2 clubs guarantees game 2 clubs may be 22-23 balanced in which case you bid 2C - 2D - 2NT pass

If we assume I am the only person EVER to have passed a 2 club bid, what statistics do you base this statement on (tongue in cheek)

also if you have never passed 2!C before, why would my p never want to play with me again????, she still does and she is very understanding, she did not agree with my pass, but she is happy to play with me. something like this, 1/. I must have a good reson to pass (ok may be bad judgement on my part) 2/. how does this differ from some one pshycing???????????????????? (I am quite interested in the answer to this) 3/. I would like to add something here, that I never mentioned in my original post, after my pass, why does no one balance?, if they bid, surely it would be easy to work out I have a crap had with clubs (albeit crap ones)?

haha I think not everyone will agree with that statement, for some it seems a matter of life or death

I intended to bid 3 clubs, but I was trying to remember how to use serious 3nt at the table, as with some nice , there is nothing like screwing up and learning the hard way would 3 clubs (by me) then 3 hearts (by p) then a jump to 6 spades have been a reasonable decision???

I will not comment here as it is quite possible I would have passed 2 clubs anyway
