  1. Sorry, something went wrong, will reedit my post and hope to get some response, thx Albrecht.
  2. i have a problem with an adjust occured in a tourney, now to not blaim someone in person i will give the tricks played, then came a claim, i show declarers hand, then td was called(came 4 minutes later), i stopped play meanwhile , but my partner played 2 more cards, before td showed and the baord was adjusted. I woud like your comments. Bidding went E S W N 1C 1S P 2H p 3H p 4H Trick 1 : S 4210Q H J329 H 58K 4 C D 27JA H A45©6 C 3Q82 C 1097(H)6 H Q10JC QC S 5 and claim rest of the tricks, now for rest of the hand[hv=n=shdk1063c&w=sj76hdq8c&e=shd954ck7&s=sak983hdc]399|300|[/hv] hope this comes out right, and now all tricks shoud come from South hand( spades) does my playing of the Ace from diamond prevent me from having QX(if they were looking for an endplay?). opps claimed later to td when he showed that my playing the ace of diamonds ment i didnt have the queen and therefore an obviuos finesse was the case, no line of play was given in the claim, spade 5 was led from north, then claim for +1, i stopped play(called td) but play went on with the Spades after minutes cause td didnt show and time was close to roundend(the less tricks possible , the less room for discussion i thought) Your comments?
  3. Hi, yes, no messages were send for couple months now i think, is i think long ago now, im on the list ( i think) with several usernames and i didnt got anything either after last meeting.
  4. Hi, As director myself, i dont log off (ACBL_11) when im spoken too, nor will i go on brb ( ACBL) , acbl was after tourney , Td in the beginning of the next round, either way, i think both is a no do , well at least to me, maybe im out of this world with trying to be kind and explain myself when someone questions me or has a in his eyes legit claim. I m fully aware and understand the subpolicy, played an event after the one i mentioned and i think i saw something said about possibil subs beeing subbed out. Im sure bbo has changed its policy also about black marks for subs considering the large amount of events held by ACBl and others aournd BBO, Regards Marc
  5. Hi, i subbed in a ACBL tourney, came in when 4 minutes on the clock, no thank you from td, just a "pls Hurry so both baords will count", we moved to next round, i said hi opps when i was subbed out without a prior notice of what was going to happen. I asked ACBL_11: " coud u please say to me when you are subbing me out?" NO ANSWER WHATSOEVER. When i wanted to let management of acbl know that i feel this is not nice manours, cause ppl subbing are helping out and i NEVER seen any director, organisation not be very appreciative towards subs , i took this thing up to the log ACBL on bbo AND i reveived again NO ANSWER WHATSOEVER . Personally i think replacing a sub when u let it know isnt bad thing, given the fact ppl paid for it and a sub didnt , but does that mean that directors and the yellow ACBL can treat ppl like that, so be nice only to the ones paying and be rude to those helping you out? When i see the questions come to me from ppl i even dodnt know asking me stuff because they heard somewhere that i woud probaly have the answer i never felt myself too good to not respond, keeping silent when someone ask u things in real life is considerd very rude i think, so same policy online for me. Is this allowed or did it become normal on BBO? Regards Marc Spwdo P.s must add to that that it is the first a yellow(ACBL) on bbo wasnt helpfull, i consider all yellows i know as kind, warm, helpfull ppl
  6. Start thinking for new level once u reached +5000, and then a new level in about a month when u reach +10.000 posts Ben <_<
  7. I ve asked several time for Flag of Vatican City, but i suspect Fred and Uday think im ex-comunicated given the fact the flag isnt added yet.
  8. Another, more imptant reason to pass (besides avoiding ptship troubles) is that opening at the 1 level with less than 8 hcp is ILLEGAL for most tournament. Such hands can be opened only using weak openers at the 2-3 level. Stupid rule, as this hand demonstrates (hardly preemptive hand, excellent playing strength),but we have to comply with such rules. I never heard of such rule, except in ACBL land... I don't know what other countries use this rule as well, but as you said it: it's a stupid rule! 9. point of unclocked is to have diffrent sections playing at a diffrent paste, roundclock sole purposse in unclocked is to know when you get those dreadfull A== Marc
  10. happend to me too one time after a misclick when i wanted to change minutes of baords, was private chatting , had tourneymanagement open, mouse misplaced and it happend, booted also someone who kept on complaining and didnt accepted my apoligies, i asked player if he/she preferd to be subbed, all i coud do at that time:( , but without the arrogance and the ?????.Remember it still as one of my big mistakes. Marc
  11. Hi, After having the priv. to be able to pair up with some really really good player once in a while i was wondering how other less talented or shortley started players feel when they pair up with a excellent player. A lot where given that oppertunity recentley in the BIL festivities(well done Maureen and co again) so maybe some will be voted or adding acomment. Another reason i make this poll is that i often encounter Experts(maybe self proclaimed donno) that causes problems in one way or the other(mostley disconnecting/arguining after partners mistakes) . One(a player, not a td) told me recentley he had 173 experts in his blacklist with whom he woud never play again cause they stunk he said so maybe some have same experience. Last reason is after seeing the experts explaining how they play with a "godzilla"in a indy it seems only fair to let the B/I given a voice too :) in how they feel in same situation. Please add comments Regards Marc
  12. hi wayne, i think diffrent, under special circumstances(small+ experienced tds) there is nothing wrong with a playing td.I feel a must in tourneys is the abilty to adjust when needed, what i ment as problems where ppl that dont read tourneychat and/or info and call without typing in thier problem, who is missing , seventeen calls for one adjust while we explained to tourney how its done, a zillion players signing up without knowing a word english, that causes problems. Nothing we cant handle only it sometimes spoils the fun we coud have. 10 tables is very very diffrent then big tourneys like lukasz mentioned, when i td alone(not playing) i cant handlle 60 tables, i can but then have no time to really look at things,so lesser quality, when i hear someone doing 120 tables while playing himself he either out of this world or a bad example. Regards Marc
  13. Hi Lukasz i often play in tourneys i created togheter with mostley borko, also td , so then restrict to ten tables max(with 2 sometimes three playing tds), even then we often have problems with megacallers, non alerts and so on. But to host a tourney 120 tables with one playing td shoud be good enough for revoking tdspriviliges , these are things that make general population think there are no rules around bbo, many tds friends complain that behaviuor is on a downfall, these things add to that, when hosts dont behave why woud a individual have to behave is a easy way of thinking. i feel TDS are the persons that come in contact much more with users of this site then yellows for instance so i strongly am in favour of asking/demanding some qualitycheck of tdcapebilty or at least revoke those that make fun of something i consider to be a seriuos job(payed or unpayed). I know several good tds on this site that regulary run into probs because ppl had bad experiences with other tds and believe all tds are alike. Think of the tourney lukasz mentioned 480 ppl and no adjust possible except when u play AGAINST THE TD , happend to me .. Marc
  14. Hi, Woud like very much to host tourneys included for only players who have set their BBO version to english, explain this in tourneyinfo so that everyone that knows basic english knows what to do, getting a little tired of writing in info english only at the table and seeing registration seeing take place with profiles where"no english"is one of the conventions they know. Tired of seeing ppl unable to explain their bids, tired of the non english conversations during bidding/playing and after hand when i specificully request not. There are enough tourneys for every language around bbo, i woud like to enforce mine beeing english spoken only, hope Uday/Fred can provide me and others with this tool. Thx P.S beeing asked regulary if and when a private TD spot on the forum is there already or if its coming cause we havent heard after last meeting as far as i can tell Regards Marc
  15. dont create tourneys with no td present please some players when down will not finisch hands, convenient slowplay. players will not alert. players will talk whatever language is their first. causing a lot of grieve unneeded some ppl dodnt know how to sub created and played a tourney last night, specificully wrote in tourneyinfo english only at the table, alert conventional bids and some other things, first round had i had non english, non alerting opps.Third round one player passed partners cue bid(unalerted off course) , he stopped playing, didnt answer my questions so he went for the A-.Later on in tourney he called mutiple times because he needed adjustment himself. My point even when td is there these things-issues happen .So thefore every tourney must have a present td who tries and do his job as best as he can, personally i think tds who create stuff just to create because nothing is on and go offline shoud have their tdpriviliges taken away.Nothing more irritated then a td not present. BTW it is not posible to substitute a sitoutpair for players opposite of the sitout, one minor reason we need a td present. I think NOBODY is asking party for a not present td, at least be smart enough to create a survivor mode tourney where missing-) also NO sitouts' and so on can be discarded and when ppl come aware that they are in a monster of unpresent TD tourney they can log off and get excused.REally why woud anyone create a thing where no adjust is possible. if the only motivation is to create something because there are only payed things on , leave it please. Many times a tourney has caused bad blood from a td taken a wrong dissision, well this beats it all.Do not do this please, create and be there and do your best or dont bother Regards Marc
  16. hi, Agree with G and ben, ask player, not opps if they like a partner to be subbed, risk of lateplay/unfinsched baord is for the player that doesnt take the sub. In defence of tds some have very large tourneys and hardly anyone willing to help for free, so they sub quickly to avoid a lot of adjusts, but as always some do it this way, some do it that way, be chosy wich tourneys you play in avoids a lot of problems, when u dodnt like a td , dont sign up again. Regards Marc
  17. Free my friend, if u love to overcall 1nt after 1m opening i as td think this starts to sounds according to your own words a little like an hidden agreement . but then again i wonder what an alert like"partner is know to spyche against 1m opening " woud do to your opps when you have a max nt opening :D some probaly woud try and penalise the h... out of you wich will score probaly even better. Well, discoverd another advantage in online bridge against the real thing, screaming across the room will probaly only result in a unamused/pulling internetplug wife/husband(maybe thats why we see a disconnect once in a while, we shoud study it). But the rest of the online field isnt alerted of your "frequent"spycheness :) Since your a belgian i allow 2 psyche in my tourneys(each) :D so i wont be responseble for you not lieying anymore during a tourney after your first psyche, you poor guy :( Marc
  18. that was my conclusion as well, so why did he/she passes with a clear stopper in ♠ when as far as he/she "legally" knows 1♣ is the bid wich started the auction. Passing 3♠ can result in playing a five fit where partner holds XX or so. Now the hand was passed and contract was made ...
  19. hi, More info :D Opener told in blue chat(private to opps) that 1♣ was a misbid/click, that he/she shoud have opened 1♠, then responder had to make its call and he passes?? Its not a hand played in a tourney or main so cant be looked up.Any comments now?
  20. [hv=s=sk74h973dk95ckq42]133|100|Bidding goes 1♣ 1♥3♣ (alerted as 11+) p 3♠ p ,your call?[/hv] Will add the interesting part of this later, woud like some comments how the bidding shoud go after this sequence when its responder turn to form a contract.
  21. [hv=v=b&n=skj7h102d103cakj843&w=sa83hkq3dj865c1072&e=sq10654h754d2cq965&s=s92haj986dakq974c]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] I was opp here, said that the bidding that took place was called a reverse, i believed it overvalued north hand, and that according to bidding after 3♥ contract either shoud end in 3nt(given the stoppers in other suits) or 4♥ given the support. Woud open 1♥, then rebid ♦ when i got chance, no harm in saying 3♦ or 4♦ if opps intervene , if hand belongs to opps with ♥ thats where we go, need something from partner to be able to have a game. Further if opps say 4♥ can always X, if partner doesnt like it he woud bid one of the minors, if ♣ can correct to ♦? Bidding was 1♦ 2♣2♥3♣3♥4♥ opps silent contract went down 2
  22. Hi, I thought BBO was logging chat already, i had once a discussion about booting someone from a tourney where yellow of bbo copied and paste the exact chat /conversation i had with that person. It was in an ongoing tourney so , minutes after the booting took place, he told me he looked the chat up so i m confused from this poll. Can also remember someone telling me if u coud give exact time chat occurred it coud be looked up.
