  1. I may try 4♠ if it is to play. Second choice 5♦
  2. I have no problem passing 1♠. Now pass, partner could easily have 5♦4♠.
  3. I overcall because I feel strong enough to double any number of clubs when they come back to me. With a weaker hand I would probably double right away.
  4. Sure but if partner doesnt have one of those cards, we will likely go down in 6 on a ♥ lead.
  5. I would have responded 1♥ even with xx in clubs. Now I would try 2NT, which should be some kind of takeout.
  6. Lets see, for a slam to be good we need A♣ and KJ♠. Partner has 11 HCP at best, and he has at least 3 points in ♦. So I would just bid 4♠ and try to take as many tricks as possible.
  7. After a natural 1♣ its very tough. The best I can think of is. 1♣-(2NT)-X-(3♥) pass - pass -3♠-pass 3NT-4NT 6♣ 4N is optimistic at best. Playing precision is a lot easier and there shouldnt be any problems. 2. 2♣-2♥ (0-5) 3♠ (5♥4♠) 4♦(agrees ♠ max )-6♠ Actually the 3♠ bid was not part of the system, but it is something that I would like to add. If this is not available I am never getting there. Playing precision: 1♣-1♦ 1♥ (forcing balanced or nat)-1♠ 2♠ (5♥4♠ Gforcing)-3♠ bla bla slam 3. 1♣-1♠ 2♥-2♠ (5+ Gforcing) 3♣-3N 4♣-5♣ 6♣ Precision: 1♣-1♥ (8-11) 2♣-2♠ 3♥-3N 4♣-4♦ (do something intelligent?) 6♣ The 4♦ is questionable, but 4♥ sounds like preference and 4♠ like an offer to play.
  8. I think 5♦ +1 is a normal reuslt and I wouldnt worry much about it. If I were you I would rather concentrate on my cardplay and agreements in competitive auctions rather than thinking about some complicated agreement over weak 2 in♦ that benefits you once a year if you are lucky.
  9. 1♣. If i had doubleton ♠ I may open 1N at MP to make it harder for them to find their ♠fit. Now I cant see any reason to upgrade, I will be unhappy if partner bids game on a random 10 count. Apart from that the field will not be opening 1N and taking anti-field auctions is usually a bad idea, especially when they have more downsides than upsides
  10. We play boring 4way transfers and we are able to make a Gameforcing Relay after we start with 2C. Example: 1N-2C 2D-2S GF Relay ask for distribution. 1N-2C 2H-2N GF, ask for distribution 1N-2C 2S-3C GF, ask for distribution We include 5card majors in our 1NT and are able to find out opener's shape below 3N.
  11. 2♠, but I can see how 3 could work out better.
  12. Maybe X should be gametry in ♠? Of course this would be silly if you can have 5♥4♠ for your double.
  13. I blame the system, 16-23 is a huge range. After a standard 2♣ opening, not to mention after a strong club you would bid grand easily.
  14. I would bid 3♥ intending to show ♥ stop and asking partner to bid 3N if he had smth in ♦. He has the option to bid 3♠ which I will raise or to bid 4♣ if he has 7+♣ and nothing in ♦. Second choice is double.
  15. 1. Lead the second from touching honors unless you are leading from a shortness. 2. Do not use them in partner's suit. Rest What Zelandakh said.
  16. I would lead either low ♦ or trump I wouldnt consider anything else. With xx in trumps I would surely lead trump but with 10x I honestly dont know.
  17. I would also X as West. If we are playing raptor I would try 2N
  18. I would double, seems pretty obvious especially at MP
  19. 2♣-2♦ (6+) 2NT-3♣ (puppet) 3♦-3♠ 3NT-4♦ 4NT-5♣ 6♦
  20. Pass first, if they stop in 2♥ I might consider doubling for t/o
