  1. I am passing if partner doubles I would bid 4♣ to show both majors.
  2. Pass. They are NV so doubling will not make us rich most of the time. I was prepared to late them play 5♥, so I am thrilled that they bid so high and will most likely go down.
  3. I would pass, but I dont think X is insane. If the spade Ace was in some of the minors I would surely X.
  4. 4♥. I am worried that after 4♦, partner will show his club control 100% of the time and we may be too high. I could try a clever 4♣ and bid slam if partner denies a ♦ control. This also has the advantage that partner will also move afer 4♣-♦-4♥ with a real strong hand. On the other hand he may misevaluate his hand based on the false information, or he may have not have a club control as well. I still think pass is right, but If I bid, I would much rather bid 4♣
  5. I think parner made a light slam try and I have an easy pass now. Possible finesses in ♦ and ♥ rate to be offside. I assume partner had splinters/fitjumps available if he wanted to see if I had the right cards for slam.
  6. I would open 1♣. Playing with my favourite parner I would open 4♣ to show 6♣5M and abou 7-13 HCP. If someone forced me to open 1♥ I would surely pass 3N.
  7. Surely t/o, what else can you do with 4-4-4-1 or similar. Furthermore the opponent is seating over you and if partner was very short in the suit he may have bid a suit of his own instead of passing. And if partner has some cards in the suit, it is almost impossible that you can make a clear pen X.
  8. 1♣-(1♦)-1♠ 2♣-2♦ 2♥-2♠ 3♠-4♠
  9. 1N-2♥ 2♠-3♣ 3♥-3♠ 3N-5N 6♠ 1N-14-16, 5N pick a slam, else a fairly natural auction.
  10. I think 2♦ is just terrible, I could understand it if 1♣ was strong or 2-way, but it would still be too much for me. Agree that North should make a simple raise to 3♦, he shouldnt be worried if they bid game with both majors breaking badly.
  11. I would win the ♠Ace and play ♦J. Does it win or lose? If it loses what is returned?
  12. 1. North 90%, I would have also overcalled 4♠. South has a misfitting hand and 1♠+2♠ doesnt show the world. 2. Bad luck
  13. 1. I prefer to play negative doubles through 4♥, so I would X if having this agreement. Making a penalty double is nonsense. 2. A trump, not close. 3. Close, depends on partners style. If we agreed to play sound weak 2's first seat red I would invite, otherwise pass.
  14. 1. As others pointed out, S should compete, 2C shows either 5-5 or a reasonable hand, with 5-4 and minimum there is no need to bid right away. 2. Stayman at MP's, at IMPS its closer 3.I would lead a ♥
  15. I would X. I dont think we have game, but I dont think they can make 3♠ either. At IMPS I would pass.
  16. I would try 5♣, 4N is second choice. Partner knows that I have 4♥s and with a stiff diamond I might have bid differently.
  17. What phil said. By the way, I would rather double than bid 1N, at least when I X we are going to find our major suit fit.
  18. If your AK♠ are your only spades you would probably lead something else than a doubleton
  19. I dont know about the trumps, but the second heart play should be 100% SP. From the cards we cant see 2689 partner played the 6. So I would play him for the club ace. I would be wrong only if partner had exactly 26Q
  20. I would try 5♦. Maybe we make, maybe its a good save.
  21. I dont have specific agreement about this, but undiscussed I would assume GF asking for further description(6th♥ or stopper). If I have ♥ fit I have a slam try.
  22. Partner should have really played the heart queen, he can see your problem.
