  1. I would certainly double, and would open unless we have agreed to open very sound
  2. X is completely obvious for me, planning to bid 2♠, over 2♦/♥ from p
  3. In pairs it is usually a good idea to bid with the field. And the field would pass. If you are looking for other arguments for passing see hanoi's post.
  4. 4♥. I dont consider any other bid
  5. 1. Pass 2. I would have opened 1N. If I opened 2♣, I pass now 3.3♠ 4.3♠. Yes it is forcing and I would bid 5♣ or 4♠ 50-50. 4♦ is best, if we have a CLEAR agreement that it is Choice of Games. By the way, I like to play 2NT as Lebensol over 2M overcalls.
  6. Not really, Partner will not have too much in ♦ on the bidding. Even with a minimum X Axxx Kxxx x Axxx slam has good play.
  7. I would bid 6♦, expecting partner to bid his longer major.
  8. Clear pass, Partner has probably solid minor +A of♠. E opened 2♠ second seat vulnerable with jack high, he will have some values if he is not complete lunatic, which lowers the chances that we can make slam. KQ oposite Ax is a big waste. I wouldnt open this poor 11 count with no good suit.
  9. Surely 3♠ at this vulnerability, describes the hand very well.
  10. I could play, if you dont have enough people, but I dont think I am a forum regular. If you want me send me a message in BBO pls.
  11. I would tend to finess, LHO didnt lead a ♥, possibly he has the King. I would cash the ♣ and the ♠ first, maybe I could figure out which hand has the long ♥.
  12. I lead a ♥. Partner has more points than I do (otherwise we aint beating it anyway), so I will try to find his 5card suit. If he had 5-4 (or better) in the reds, he would have doubled 1♠. On the other hand he has 4+♥(unless E has 4 and W has 3), and often 5. And since he didnt double he cant have an owful lot of ♦. Spades and clubs are out of question for me.
  13. Partner opened 4th seat, which means he either has a full opener or he has some ♠. I would probably bid Drury and raise 2♥ to 3. At MP I would certainly pass 2♥.
  14. With a 6th♣, I would certaily bid 2♣+3♠. I dont feel this hand is good enough for it (The jump to 3S would show a 4card support and a pretty good side suit as a source of tricks). For me it is a 50-50 choice between a splinter and 2NT. If I have 3♦ available as splinter I would probably bid that, otherwise 2N
  15. This would show a decent trap pass, may be even a void in ♥. Partner should not autopass it.
  16. Second seat r/w, 3card ♠ and very weak hand. Unless I have agreed to play very light preempts I would pass.
  17. I would double, I wont be trilled if p decides to sacrifice, which he will do a lot in these colours. Btw why on earth did W pass 4♠?
  18. 1♥ regardless of scoring and vulnerability.
  19. I would bid 4♠. Partner knows that my preempts are far from solid, so he will not get too excited.
  20. I would X. Maybe we can force declarer in ♥. Of course it could end up badly if partner has good ♦ and they have a double fit, but if partner has a stiff ♦ and ♣ values, bidding may convert +800 into -100/300.
  21. 5♦. My partners often have only 3 trumps and a stiff ♥ so I dont like my chances in 6♦ especially if they lead a trump. If p doubles 5♠ I am passing. If he passes I am bidding 6. Expect partner to have something like AJx(x) x QJx KQJxx(x)
  22. I would never open this 1♦ unless playing canape. How can I tell partner that I decided to open my shorter suit with 9 high instead of the suit where I have AKQ. The only thing we can achieve is to make partner lead the wrong suit. 4nt would be quantitative, if p has slam try in ♦, he would start with 4♦.
  23. 1. 1NT 2. I would double, planning to convert 3♣ to 3♦
