No my intended point was in response to your comment that I believe was saying if you have a responsive double now you could have made a takeout double of 1♥. But a shape like 2344 can not make a takeout double of 1♥ but will still want a responsive double on the next round. I can agree with that :)

I want to choose an action that suggests the least tolerance for a ♥ contract and this is certainly a major contender. Just not sure if X followed by 3NT shows even less tolerance for ♥. Now the 3♣ bidders are going to say this should be a contender. Perhaps you can, since they won't like it from me, address why 3♣s hoovers. B)

Care needs to be taken that your defensive values are not "excessive" plus some consideration of your major suit holdings needs to be balanced into the equation. Generally 6 to 11 HCP should be an acceptable range. Your holding does not need to be AK or KQ in the suit and some care about suit texture is warranted clearly AQT9xxx is better than AQxxxxx
