Hello m1cha, you raise a few points that I had in my mind. Your math portion has some misunderstandings and misinterpretations, but I got the main idea:) 1) Our first goal is to rank people in the groups fairly at this point. I don't know if it is clear in the rules but I am quite certain that we will not count those not completed games as 10-0 for the evaluation of 7th place decision. If we think that rule is clearly unfair to someone, then we will certainly make everything to make it fair - since people are friendly here, making a head-to-head match between people who finish 7th in different scenarios will not be a problem. 2) Now, seedings for the KO, that is a little bit tricky. I actually have an idea of using group 1-6 rankings as the base of the decision (i.e., Group winner will be seeded to 1 to 5 - first pot -, second places go to 6 to 10 - second pot - etc.). After this step, we have to decide who will be the actual 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 within that pot. To do that, I think we should use the % for the games in the matches against top 6 only. Then we will not have any issues about people who left. I think this solves main issues in the current rules. All players - let me know what you think. Best, Ovunc

Yes, I think your interpretation of the rules is correct. We will make a decision soon, but maybe xbabarx explains why it happened.

Diana - el mister just played his game against me today, I don't know what exactly happened, but please do not speculate about "disqualification" and stuff.

This will protect you against the scenario where your opponent basically accepts and plays within the last hour of the challenge and you are not around in that last hour.

It is, but: a) no group structure, your score/standing is across the field (the comparison is against your opponent but you don't play 16 boards) b) everybody plays the same boards (yes, you may still play flat boards against a weak team while others playing difficult boards) c) you play it a session and then get your result (unless barometer with 2-3 board matches) -- 20-0 is somehow limiting the gain/damage but something like 15-1/16-0 is too big:)

One missing point, how will the MP be scored if we use group structure? MP average (a linear calculation) does not make sense to me.

Haha, I agree - but sometimes you just play the challenge and do not notice. I would expect him (since I wrote him) to warn the opponents via private message before they start playing or cancel the challenge. I did not want to make an announcement here and confuse people, because clearly I was not sure if you were the only one who got the best-hand or not. To be honest, I also didn't like the post including discarded games, because it is very clear that gqc6 game is also best-hand but somehow he ignores(?) it.

Since I am involved in Group 5, I don't really want to say too much. However, it is not good to send three matches in a wrong format and let people play although being warned multiple times via bbo messages (and a penalty is required imo, however both frank0 and I are in this group and we don't have any written rules, so we cannot really).

Nige1-gqc6, unfortunately you need to rematch.. Nige1 - I messaged you like 3 times in bbo, why do you keep sending best hand?

@diana_eva are you guys ever planning to add robot system a cuebidding (for controls) method? most of the time it skips everything and bids the game even with a very strong hand..
