  1. Thanks for reporting. Weird explanation indeed. GIB hand corresponds to the info, but not likely the hand you would bid and force partner up. It will be considered for better followons.
  2. The better apply of this situation comes after 1♠ - 2♠ showing heart + minor. If you have invitational hand with hearts how you going to show to partner? 3♥ seems like forced and drop call. 4♥ could be too high. 3♣ will be pass/correct to the partner's minor. 3♦ would be too odd to be invite with hearts. 3♠ would be GF. And it leaves room for cuebid if you like the minor after. So initially you really ask for the minor, as that's the thing you expect partner to bid, then over your rebid he could decide whether and how to proceed.
  3. Due the 3♦ by South, the North hand promised 5+ ♥ only, while the all other 6 tables promised 6+. Which initially doesn't change the play as after ♥A and ♥8 all Wests now know North has 5♥. But only this West switches in spades which doesn't reveal yet the trump split. Why? Probably it does this because the rest 4♥ over 3NT don't bring additional information, just 11-HCP and 12-TP which is foggy, while this North shows 11-12TP. So West is aware for sure for ♥K and ♠AJ so it makes more clear plan for him, not for declarer.
  4. A - correct, it will be fixed B - GIB uses otherwise, it uses to show max values for the 2♥ and penalty length in spades. It's not reopening to test trap pass. 1♥ - Pass - 2♥ - 2♠ Double - is also penalty for GIB. So in this case North "knows" partner didn't want to penalize the overcall as well.
  5. The issue here is the 2♠ has lower priority then 3♦. But as 2♠ carries more appropriate information, it seems that the sequence needs correction.
  6. Seems like the 3♥ don't explain properly the hand as no reason to be 100% twice rebiddable ( 6+ good ) hearts as is still in the range round forced by partner. It could be just 4+ with 10-11 unbalanced. It will be investigated for better continuations of each side.
  7. book bid is 4♠, showing 12+TP which corresponds to the North values having 12TP here. Anyway it seems like GIB having double fit upgraded for using 4NT directly. Seems conservative pass at 5♥, but likely the simulated hands can't exclude the opportunity of declarer having 3 Aces or 2A+K of trumps and as no queen, the slam could be in jeopardy of guessing trumps as main problem. For good 6♥ you need AKQ and at least QJ in ♣ otherwise to protect bad trump split with club lead.
  8. It's glitch in the explanation. 3♥ should be 2♥. It will be corrected.
  9. The problem is with a rule which GIB finds with good distribution, but lower requirements of points, it will be improved.
  10. Thanks for reporting, it will be fixed.
  11. Thanks for reporting. 4♠ should be just pick of contract. It will be reviewed for fix.
  12. Thanks for reporting. It's a glitch in the rules and will be fixed.
  13. Thanks. It's definitely a bug. It will be corrected.
  14. GIB needs 12TP and 11HCP to double 1♦ with such shape. It has 12TP, but only 10HCP. With hand like : ♠AJT9 ♥QJ43 ♦7 ♣K1086 it will Double. East finds the respond 2♥ but not too often, because it considers West subsequent double as not that strong as initially to shows his hand.
  15. Thanks for reporting. Looks like an issue with passed hand. Otherwise it picks its diamonds. It will be corrected.
  16. It looks like 3♠ invite should be accepted with upper range of the initial raise - like 8-10TP. It could be corrected. GIB should differentiate the meaning of the call and respectively partner when the invite is accepted.
  17. Thanks for reporting it. For GIB 2NT would be 10-12 HCP and invite. Going up to 4th level as misfit seems risky indeed. As the idea for stop there or pick 3NT must remain as choices. Looks more reasonable if the invitational call goes there to be rebidded the lower one suit, like 2♠ here or return to 2♥ with 2 cards. It requires tweaking for sure, so it will be corrected for the next update. If not all, at least most common sequences.
  18. 4♥ comes after not other suitable call to give. 3NT requires 13HCP, GIB has 12 here. 3♠ will require 14+ 4♣/4♦ ( if you have opened 1♣ ) is 17+ Diamonds are not yet approved as 4♥ just shows points. So 4NT is as described - it's not a bug. 4♥ doesn't seem too pretty here with that hand, but tough hand to give the safest call with North's hand. Anyway, it will be reconsidered for better attitude toward such jump overcalls at 3rd level.
  19. Thanks for reporting. It's definitely bug. Explanation of 3♠ is correct. Just picking it by GIB is not. It will be corrected and followons improved.
  20. Thanks for reporting. It looks like wrong choice indeed. It will be improved as followons.
  21. 2♦ doesn't seem bad. It seems like delayed support which should ring alarm why it was delayed. It should be always with good length in the overcall, most likely 5+, as with 4th GIB wouldn't miss to give fit. However, the 3♦ showing 17-18TP no matter the diamond length is likely 100% GF for North having 10TP. This is how it comes the 3♥ GF bid. Then the simulation probably shows the defending either 4♠ or 5♣ is better then 5♦. Especially with the opps' vulnerability. The 3♦ looks like competitive as partner has shown support as well. Comparing with the other kind of auction, which is logically similar, here shows different requirement. 1♦ (human ) - 1♠(LHO) - 2♦ ( partner , support ) - 2♥ (RHO) 3♦ - 5+ ♦; 11+ HCP; 12-16 total points So likely that's the adjust which will help North and respectively EW to proceed properly.
  22. Yes, seems like a bug. It will be investigated for fix.
  23. 1Major - 1NT is round forcing 2minor is 3+ for GIB just because you could have 5332 and no 4th suit to introduce or 6+ major. So that's why if you rebid 2Major turns out to be 6+ definitely. GIB has 11TP here which is close for invite or bid game, based on your likely 11-15HCP and not clear if unbalanced hand. with aside 5 suit and 3rd support, it doesn't seem so badly bidded game. Say you have ♠KJxxxx ♥xxx ♦Kx ♣KQ Will you accept the invite? Looks unfortunate shortness in diamonds in both hands and no kings there. Anyway it would be investigated for more precise followons over 1Major - 1NT, 2Major rebid.
  24. 2♣ natural responses like 2♥/2♠/3♣/3♦ require some quality in the suit, like KQ or better and 8+TP. It will be considered for improvement. In the particular case it seems it comes as simulation bid as forced but not finding suitable bid.
  25. First hand looks like preemptive raise, not constructive. Book bid is pass, but probably due the your passed hand ( and having 2HCP itself, not likely both pairs have almost equal points ) and expecting opps to reach 3NT, has decided to give you a hint for the lead and upgrade with 1TP. GIB doesn't rely on Best hand south and not counting South always >=11HCP. Second hand book bid is 4♣, after some simulation GIB could find the 3♣ bid as more safety, but very rarely to pass. It will be checked more deeply.
