  1. Thanks for reporting. This will be fixed for sure. It would be addressed for improvement how GIB could provide artificial GF.
  2. 2NT actually denies having greater fit in opener's minor rebid. Just the hand has 13TP and not 12TP so just didn't find the 3♣. It will be adjusted.
  3. Correct, thank you. Reversed meaning.
  4. Some of the bids after Opener's reverse are having Forcing to X level - i.e. 3NT or 4Major or 5 Minor 1♣ - 1♠ 2♥ - 3♣ - -- 4+ ♣; 8+ HCP; forcing to 3N 1♦ - 1♠ 2♥ - 3♥ - -- 4+ ♥; 4+ ♠; 8+ HCP; forcing to 4♥ 1♣ - 1♠ 2♥ - 4♣ - Slam interest in ♣ -- 4+ ♣; 10+ HCP; 4+ controls; forcing to 5♣ But it might looks helpful to be mentioned how limited are the passed hands for sure. Anyway, in general according to the last GIB v20 - only 2NT could have weak hand saying Artificial 2NT 7- HCP. It could hide even weak hand with major fit as can't bid it directly, but it will once partner continue. So not good idea to be passed 2NT also. Any other bid could be treated as GF, although not mentioned ( at the moment, hopefully all bids will be described in next update ).
  5. It's fixed in next update. It will bid 3NT with lack of fit. Won't simulate pretending it does.
  6. Thanks for reporting. It's a bug. Just GIB finds bad rule. Notice it reduced the TOX points to 11-HCP after. It will be fixed
  7. Looks like bug, which ignores the voluntary jump to 2♠ from none-passed hand. If partner was initially passed ( which doesn't change much the 2♠ meaning ), it handles, showing more accurate meaning of 3♠ which is 13-15TP and 4th♠. It will be fixed.
  8. Currently 8+TP, 5+ in the suit if response is 2♥/2♠/3♣/3♦ and KQ or better in the suit.
  9. Yes, I am. But it doesn't mean i deny the holes in the sequences or decisions they take. I don't think GIB must be seeded as eternal 'black sheep' in all cases just because the conventions it uses are in difference. The informative post above was to answer why 3♦ is used instead of 3♥. 4♥ looks like coherent issue due the 3NT which as you see is written with the likely impossible range of 18-29HCP. That need to be limited more strictly, so the 8HCP wouldn't be a seductive reason for North ( being GIB to proceed).
  10. The sequence has the same idea like opening 2♦ and 2NT . 3♥ will show feature as entry in the hand. That's why it comes the 4♥ where it shows the suit naturally now. Over the sequence: 1♣ - 2♦ - Pass - 3♣ * (♦ fit & forcing ) Pass - 3♥ will be natural 6+♦ 4♥
  11. South also shows doubleton in hearts, instead of 4♦ - doubleton in diamonds. So having in front just 2 hearts makes dummy minors values more promising to help. GIB is likely to bid 5♣ as well, but 5♠ as something like general invite if you have such good trumps as the example. Pity trump split in opps.
  12. should, but the double looks more concerning.
  13. It isn't, it's one of the things to be fixed in the next update. Although looks normal if the opening was 1♣
  14. Even if 4♦ is standalone suit not related with hearts, it comes unforced and after double, so it must be still at least 18HCP, which makes Pass not an option for North. North could then cuebid in spades showing fit in the solid diamond suit by South.
  15. Try without st|| as the current way your file is composed. Also is sv|-| changes after? It comes to show the vulnerability for the particular board. Better use sv|o| - none; sv|e| / sv|n| for ew and ns; sv|b| for both.
  16. GIB jumps to 7 just because it believes got enough points by partner and its hand. Maybe 7 is too much, but according to points 6 is the minimum it could bid without the need of blackwood. The sum of points shown by all hands seems like real only at theory, as the minimum of East-12TP West-9TP South-31TP and North sees 11TP, but North has to rely on partner's bids. As maximum i can recall the max TP sum looks like 76 ( min 64 shown here ). 31TP seems like high requirement, so that could be softened a bit, but understandably can't be weak distributional hand, as partner 2♥ is not engaging bid, just picks one of your promised suits. Also by bidding 4♦ ( after shown at least 4-4♥ ) that adds additional points ( 4♥ will be just 12TP ) to your expected hand. No need to pick choice of 4♥ or 5♦ as 1) level is higher and 2) you already know you have fit in hearts. 2♥ seems a bit undervalued bid. It worth bidding 3♥ instead with and singleton spade and almost second fit in second shown suit by partner. 3♥ promises 4+♥ and 10-12TP, which GIB has, so it will be investigated as appropriate call here.
  17. Looks like a bug. The explanation seems expected, but the hand doesn't match. It will be investigated what causes the misunderstanding.
  18. In the particular case, any other bid outside the Soloway jump shift suit by GIB will show 4+ support in the opening. So 4♦ will show splinter and 4+♠. 4♠ will show just 4+ and no splinters. So one of these two things things seems it needs reviewing. Either 3+spades is required or not solid, but 6+ suit by responder.
  19. Thanks for reporting. It's incorrect rebid indeed. It's fixed for the new update.
  20. Thanks for reporting. It's a bug. It will be investigated for fix. GIB has 10TP which is away from the 13+. Currently GIB can't overcall with 2♦ which is > of 2♣(opener's rebidded suit) so requires 14+TP, with lower suit by rank it requires 11+TP. But the double is wrong.
  21. GIB continuations if any occur, are based on these 1NT,2NT openings values: 1NT - notrump opener. Could have 5M. -- 2-5 ♣; 2-5 ♦; 2-5 ♥; 2-5 ♠; 15-17 HCP; 18- total points 2NT - Two NT opener. Could have 5M. -- 2-5 ♣; 2-5 ♦; 2-5 ♥; 2-5 ♠; 20-21 HCP GIB can't 'sees' through the cards. If you open with different ranges or shapes, GIB wouldn't be aware and won't change its actions.
  22. With bid over the rebidded opened suit by rank. In second or third level which comes first. As currently GIB doesn't play Drury ( it could be implemented in one of next updates, but currently GIB doesn't use it) New suit by passed hand is not general forcing, just shows max passed hand and 5+ in the suit. So: P - P - 1♦ - P 2♣ - P - 2♥ - New suit -- 3+ ♦; 4+ ♥; 21- HCP; 15-22 total points P - P - 1♠ - P 2♣ - P - 2♦ - New suit -- 4+ ♦; 5+ ♠; 11-21 HCP; 12-22 total points 2♣ - P - 3♦ - -- 4+ ♦; 5+ ♠; 21- HCP; 15-22 total points; forcing to 3N So if you rebid new suit under the rebidded opened suit, which makes it lower rank, it's not typical forcing so GIB could raise, but it's not forced to do it. Probably the explanation should be tweaked as shows too high range of points, which could be up to 15-16. As with 16+ you should rebid something else based on max hand in partner. Like 11-21HCP must be 11-14HCP and 12-15TP. Sort of.
  23. 2♣ looks more rational with such hand which doesn't have 5♦ in just 10% (4-0) but two voids is rather unlucky and partner not having ♣Q or ♥A. 4NT doesn't look much convenient as you need Q♣ to bid 7 even if partner has the priceless ♥A. You could bid 6 directly just to respect the hand you've got. There are hands like this hard to explore everything, but usually going slow is the best way. I've saw in team match at BBO hand like: ♠AQJTxxx ♥AKQxxx ♦- ♣- played 6♠/6♥ at both tables. Only 16HCP, but again 22TP, just like the hand with the diamonds. But here 4NT wouldn't help, only spade establishment as trump and inquiry the spade support if any. So 2♣ looks acceptable to accept such hands, but the continuation after doesn't guarantee grands will be reached with volley.
  24. It seems that the criteria left to be too high. To open 2♦ with the same hand, GIB needs +JT in diamonds to be strong suit. It will be lined to the 2♥/2♠ openings. As with the same hand, but that length to be in hearts or spades GIB would open 2weak major.
  25. GIB logic could be tweaked to distinguish passed hand with 5+ overcalls instead of double. So it will bid 2♥ here.
