depends who is your partner. Im beginner-intemediate and my partners are same level. Most of them never heard of LOT. When I jump with a hand like yours most of times I receive a 4nt back asking for aces.

I take out trumps and finnese hearts twice so if all finesse not work I should still have only 3 losers(2 hearts and a trump). The thing I don't know if opps leads club everytime they got the hand then I have problem with no trumps in dummie.

I was east and pard has advanced level(we play before). We play basic sayc. I thought after 2d my hand increase in value and I didn't want to stop in game which 3nt and 4h does. I didn't think about 3h. I still do not know after a 2d bid how you can sugest to partner to go slam and not to stop in game.I recognized I'm a bad at biding and especially on biding slams seems like law of murphy if I bid goes wrong if I not it goes well. 2clubs seems to fit well here but I do with my partners I got raise in clubs. I voted no and I live in USA. I did that even I'm on VCT side however I do not think that any campaign pro VCT has any effect. The best campaign pro VCT is done by USBF BoD with their sanctions.

I need to discard 4 diamonds. I will do 3 in hearts kqj and 1 on spade. playing hearts till is cover. if is cover still ok discard a dimond then any lead by them take it an continue with hearts. I think the trick is not to ruff ace heart that cover your honor and to pich a diamond instead.

My levels are: biding=novice declerer play= intermediate + defense(intuitive)=beginner-intermediate I play 5 card major convenient minor, negative and take out doubles, transfer to majors only, stayman,blackwood,cue bids, law of totatal tricks. just curios what 1nt response after 1d openinng means? to me looks like no 4 card major and no 4 diamonds so should be 3334 or a variotion of 2335 hand. I will take x as 4/4 majors.

IMO any decision by USBF against the players will be inapropriate, not moral and unethical because: 1. those players are gold medalist and brought home the Venice Cup and instead to congratulate for that and advertise their success we make noise to compromise their success for a small and inocent misbehavior. 2.they misbehave for first time and if really needs to take actions better those should aplly for future tournaments in case a misbehavior will appear. 3. In my country(and I suppose in other countries too) is away to say "better do the laundry in house not in public" 4. The letter of regret to the host organization of World Bridge Championship and a discussion with players not to do that again should be enough for this incident.

I was going to ask if cuebiding is a tool that any b/i player must have it then I give up when I saw on a website at chapter for beginners. I always thought that cuebiding for slam try is not a easy tool for b/i players and even for some advanced players so I understand the overuse of blackwood and gerber. Anyhow here is good link for slam try and the rules when to ask for aces( for those b/i players who have partnership and want to learn). Oh I thought the lead was wrong and I told my pard the joke:(told b4 by world class player but not sure if was the right context) "if i bid clubs do you lead hearts" and pard got upset.

Last night my pard (pick up) led his singleton even during the auction I bid a suit. The suit contract could be set if he led my suit. In general I saw most b/i players prefer to lead the singleton when defend a suit contract.

I supose after this incident WBF or the bridge organization for each country will require a special comitee to take actions against players who doesn't respect the new law " no signs are apropriate" . Im sure some posters here who was making fun of creating a Committee will be happy to hear.
