Oviously theere isnt a system which never miss a slam, saying something like that doesnt encarage me to try your system. Anyway ppl here are planing a game with different systems, i wish your system could take part in this.

Im asking myself this question every second day, we insert a new feture into our system and after sometime i am thinking why should i have to remember this when it never come up in practice, but still we add other gadgets into the system , the thing is you must enjoy this , if you dont have the little exitment when you load a something new into the system, i think you will be better off without it.

I wonder if someone can explain the philosofy beind the responses to transfer, showing 1/2 honors and count of quick tricks outside the trump, what will i be looking for to play 3nt instead of 4M.

Some ressons including the resson you gave. in keri and especially this version you get sometimes two apportunities to ask for min/max instead of the normal 1, this works in the 1nt-2c-2d-2h where we can pass or bid 4h or bid something in the middle. In this new keri version, you also have 1nt-2c-2M which show minimum and have another way to show max, after 1nt-2c-2M you could have another apportunity to check for min/max, this is not done in this version because there is no need with the current width. Also you can see in many sequences that instead of normal rkcb there is a min/max and then rkcb again one more then normal width ask. What im saying is that this system got more power then normal systems and could handle a larger witdh which other systems couldnt.

I see some clues that this keri was designed to be able to handle a widther then normal 1NT. Is there something into it ? i got some ideas about it.

Ben how do you adjust zar points here ? intially you have 30 which is oviously too much to invite even vs light opening partner.

The previous question of 2 suiter was a 5-5 hand with not too many losers and many prefered 2c to 1h, here a 6-6 is different, your hand is weaker on hcp, so you dont have much diffence, your 6-6 need more time to show then 5-5, and 6-6 give less chances of being passed out. so even if you add the J10 of heart making this look like an easy 11 tricks hand, still 1h will be better.

Systems i wish to see here is Pavel's who posted his new evaluation system, and also tysen2k who had the idea of passing balanced hand with up to 16 hcp. Also fantoni nunes which was discussed here would be nice to check out. If you need a hand i'll be happy to play any system.

Isnt Ron klinger the one who invented keri ? Maybe this extended stayman isnt ment to be the best thing.

They play a very unique system and therefore it make sense that some "easy" games reached by normal system will be missed by their system, this doesnt mean the system is bad because they might win more "not easy" contracts which normal system miss. So to mesure the effective of this system you shouldnt give weight to how easy was the game they missed , you just need to count the imps the system gain/lose and so far if i understand correctly it win more then it loses.

1NT as best of the best, dont see the problem with this bid as others.

When i played strong club system i didnt have a choice, when i had a 16 hcp i opened 1c, this is certenly a good 16 hcp and any other bid would show a weaker hand so i think there is no choice here.

kickback is a problematic convention because its hard to handle, i tried it and had my own misunderstandings, i think its better to play a different convention even tho kickback it might be thereticaly a bit better. 4c always asks or 4m (support) always asks are simpler and will do the job.

USA is great but sometimes they get inlove with themselfs which is kind of funny.

Id bid 3H. and sometimes might pass or bid 2H as Richard advice, but wouldnt bid 4H or 5H.

I reread mike lawrence's overcall book few days ago, and he would never bid 1h here, even though he is imo (and i think not only my opinion) a bit too flexiable on 4 cards overcalls. But i said what i said about the 2H, a bid like that should be on a weak 6-7 card suit but a 4 card, not even a 5 card.

WOW so many bid 1♥ with this hand, cant believe it, weak hand weak 4 card suit. I only do that with a better hand and a better suit, a hand which passing would be a problem. Doubling now show a good hand with nice clubs, you got the clubs but miss few hcp, 2 more and i'd double, but here its a bit too risky. About free's 2♥ this makes me think we play a different game.

Pass You need a plan in your bidding, if the plan was to get to your side best contract then you shouldnt have psyched in the first place.

I would make it 5 aces for spade, not because its best but because i have limited memory and cant remember different meaning for any sequence possible.

I think you are right, if i take the A and play the Q of ♦ there are good chances to make the game anyway, iclulding chances of west playing club Q or small, which isnt that a bid mistake (knowing about A at partner's hand is much easier then knowing about J) and giving us the entry to the table.
