  1. didnt know i have to close the hidden, i thought everyone se his hidden posts like they werent hidden. did you do it for me jimmy ? do you have editing rights ?
  2. Luke your 2c is a bit like keri 2c. But keri has 2d for transfer which i like in my system.
  3. Constructive bidding over a precision 2c are known to be a problem, most play 2M as non forcing weak invite or less. You will see world class players missing games over 2c opening, just like you see fantoni nunes miss games sometimes after thier 2 level opening. The payback is the premption value of the bids.
  4. Doesnt look too hard so i hope i didnt miss something.
  5. i still don't understand why not just play puppet stayman... only bid 2C if you're invitational *or* if you plan on passing whatever opener rebids... the 2D gf stayman works very well on the hand whereagles posted: Axx.......xx AKxxx...xxx Axx.......xx xx.........AQxxxx as responder (playing 12-15 nt) i'm not sure i'd bid 2c invitational... yeah opener does have 7 controls with a max, but that's this time... if anything i'd bid 2nt, which relays to 3c pass/correct Keri has some advantage over stayman like systems. The biggest one is opener doesnt show his hand. The most common situation over 1NT is responder having inv strengh with 4 card amjor while opener doesnt have this 4 card major. In non keri system opener will show his 4 card or lack of 4 card major before they settle down in 2/3 NT. In keri responder will show his 4 card while opener will not show his hand. There are other advantage like playing 2M on 4-3 where the rest of the field will play 2NT, which as i see it is little better. Anoter nice one is the 5-3 major fit inv strengh opposite minimum opening which we will play at the 2 level while you will play at the 3 level. I bet there are disadvantage too, but those who play keri say it works out fine for them. (those 4-3 2M are cool)
  6. I decided not to change our 1nt opening and keep 5 card major out of it. So all these problems are over. I still dont know if old keri is better then new one. 1nt-2c-2d-2nt as GF stayman or 1NT-2S as the GF stayman. It seems to be more or less the same In another version i have on keri, after 1nt-2c-2d-2nt asks opener to show his hand rather then bid 3c for responder to show his, this have a little space adv (open can show 4-4 and 5 card minor) and also the advatage of beeing much simpler then normal old keri 2NT, but give info about opener's hand. One last thing i thought of one thing that could be an advantage over keri, playing 1nt-2c 2d-2NT as invite with 6 card minor, partner will bid 3D=accept if you have clubs, 3H=accept both(or use 3H/3S/3NT for stopers or something), or else 3c. This will save some space, the small price is giving own a little more info about opener hand sometimes, i think its an improvment.
  7. are you saying north lack stopers ? If you do then you are stoperfobic :D Stopers are overrated and mistreaten. There is no point in finding out we have no stopers and go down in the 5 level when we could go down less in 3nt or make it with luck or bad diffence. There is no point in playing a 95% 5m game when we have a 50% 3nt+1 there is no point in playing 3nt and making less tricks because we told the opponents how to defend. You should be very carfull when you look for stopers, do it only when you have a good alternative contract, and only when you think there is a good chance that not looking will lead us to a bad score.
  8. Didnt say that, only that i think it was the right line.
  9. I think it was a good play, he knew west has 3 spades, if west has only 3-2 hearts playing A and Q heart would work , but the chances of fred play to fail are low. If west has 4 hearts freds line give him much better chances.
  10. this assumption is far to strong, even at imps but certenly in mp. with AJXX XXX XXX AQX Would you look for stropers ? i wont not even at imp.
  11. what is anti-law ? a tool from "i fought the law" book ?
  12. 1NT is a normal bid, not even close to 2h for me. I would bid 3C with the north hand since i dont want to miss 8-9 card heart fit.
  13. Didnt forget , i wronte mini splinters . Use to play those, today i have one bid to show 6-9 and a singlton partner can get the specific singleton below game.(boochi doubin cc)
  14. The concept of having many bids to show support is good. The exact order of the bids are less important, i play a different order then bergen. other choices are strong jump shifts, weak jumps shifts, mini splinters, and fit jumps. My advice play normal bergen.
  15. Unless the 10 win, Id play the K of clubs first. I like the easy lines.
  16. The question is who was wrong, east or west, if west bid was according to thier system and east explanation was wrong then the rulling was definetly wrong. If their system cant be reached the default is to go with wrong explanation rather then wrong bidder. Even if the bidder was right, its not 100% call either way, yes a player has a right to make conclusions of an opponent questions, but you can arrgue that those question were a result of non clear explanation in the first place.
  17. No atleast not on the version presented on the forum where 2nt is non natural, asking for doublton. you are right about that problem.
  18. After 2c-2M you suppose to pass with invitational hand, no matter how many cards you have in that major right (unless you have a 6 card minor)? For example x KXXXX AJXX xxx 1NT-2C-2S-P What is the logic behind the 2M response to 2c being min, as i see it the structure will work a little better when 2M is max.
  19. With a preferct play will make 9 tricks (after the ovious trump lead)
  20. The bidding is very strange, it seems like partner doesnt have a very strong hand or else he would double 2H, partner doubled only on balancing since in balancing he believe we have around 20 hcp together since they didnt try for game, but looking at our hand and the redouble, we dont have those 20 hcp. maybe the opponents had a misunderstanding here(some use the transfer to clubs to show good support, maybe rho tried to do that and lho took it as a weak preference), maybe they just underbid. Anyway i know as always whatever i do will turn out as the worse choice. I will choose pass.
  21. I'll tell you what my problem with this appraoch is. 1d-1s-2c opener showed 9 cards and limited his strengh, responder showed 4 cards and hes unlimited, imo it make more sense to use 2h as a relay to continue opener's hand discription (like they do in ambra) then try to show responder's hand. Squzing in the weak one suiter hand is nice, but when opner is 5-4 in 2 suits or 6 in 1 suit, there is less need for that, we can play in opener suit and be just fine. This is especially true for someone like me who play weak jump shifts.
