  1. I always thought they should do something different with both majors, Im glad i managed to convince them :-)
  2. After playing alot of money bridge today, i can say its a big success. The game is great the gibs are great, yes gib made few mistakes but on the other hand it also made some very good plays, i got to a point on which i was happy it was gib playing and not me, especially on complex games were the trump break 5-0 against us. I think money bridge will bring lots of money to BBO, this will be very good for BBO staff but also for the rest of us. Well done guys, i think this is the biggest revolution since online bridge came to air.
  3. 13-15 is the winner, 10-11(maybe 9-11) looks good too.
  4. Most ppl play that one of the A/K asking for unblock and count with no honor while the other asks for attitude. Those who use the K for unblock/count will win here, they will lead the A, partner with the Q will enc and now easy small to chaout. Partner with JXXX will discarage and the player with AK109X know that playing the A is his only chance to defeat the contract, from this point its not hard to cash. If you play the opposite way : K for attitude you wony be hable to defeat this hand. The other possible way is playing always count which will also win here but i believe this is an infirior system.
  5. Thanks uday. i wasnt even sure it belong to BBO, thought it might be some general bridge recond documentation that BBO uses. Is it free to use personaly ? publicly ? buisnesly ?
  6. where can i get information about LIN ?
  7. Thanks guys So i understand its a mistake in the text on daniel's site.
  8. I must say i love it, its clean and clear, every bid is in it's place. Still i have one thing that confiuse me and maybe someone here (maybe daniel or josh) can clear this up for me. On some of the relay there is no direct 5-5 bid, and the way to show 5-5 with clubs is true the 5+M4+C, on others there is a direct 5-5 and therfore the club bid is with exactly 4C. I wonder if this has some logic beyond it ? examples 1H-1S 2D show exactly 4C while 1H-1S 1NT-2C 2S show 4+C over 1D opening its always 4+C 1D-1H 2D and 1D-1H 1S-2C 2S I guess this could be for space ressons, like we dont want to bid the reverser too high, but wanted to know for sure its not just a mistake.
  9. I have no idea what exactly is "Moscito 2005 - Denmark style", but if you can send me a file i will be happy to play it. If not then TOSR is my prefered system for now.
  10. I think what you suggest has the same idea as garozzo 2/3 doubles.
  11. If i remember corectly fred imself admited that non serious is better but he still play serious because he is more used to it and the different isnt big enough for him to change.
  12. Its fun , the best part of bridge for some of us is trying to find the perfect system.
  13. There is no safe line, just try the 2 red suits and if nothing good happend there you have to guess (base of everything you've seen so far) how to finnese the spade suit. This isnt 100% but its pretty good.
  14. After reading it for few hours i must say you did a great job, your ideas makes lots of sense, they are revulutional and will be lots of fun to play, i hope i will find someone to play this with. Thanks alot for this book.
  15. Suppose you play precision 11-15 5 card major, you have a great 1M openeing and this must be good when the opponents interfere but if you are a (stpupid) 2/1 player like me you dont really know how to use this advantage, you only know to follow the law and be in the right law level. Where is the limit advantage show it power, what extra considerations should i take when partner is limited.
  16. A new very detailed system on daniel's site http://www.geocities.com/daniel_neill_2000/sys/index.html looks intresting with new idea's. Does anyone know the author ? If someone want to play it online give me a call here or on BBO (WGF_Flame).
  17. Dont say you need to count, saying you are thinking about the all hand is a bit better but dont use it either. Dont play in 8-10 seconds a trick because its not practicle (not even if its less time, it just wont work in real life) My suggestion is this: Learn to find the right spot to think, the best spot is when you won a trick, especially if this is an early trick in the game, DO NOT play imidielty even if you know exactly what to play, pause count the hands and think about the future. If you stillneed time to think, dont do it when is ur turn to play a card, instead after you played you card to this trick and everyone did the same, ask them to keep the cards on the table and think then. Thinking in the right spots is one of the hardest things to do, this is something you dont learn from book and usually take expirence to do.
  18. You are right about most things, but i still want my edge at the major part.
  19. I like mickB's siege 1♣ opening structure, I believe it give you an advantage, but like most polish systems, the big benefitor is the 1♦ and as much as i like nat 1♦, i dont think this is were i need my advantage, in this major game called bridge. Trying to switch the advantage to the major hands, i got to awm system, where 1D/1H/1S show H/S/D respectively. This is nice but i dont like forcing openings, and therefore I thought of a strong 1D system. 1C - siege 1D - X+ hcp unbalance 1H - 5 card suit X- hcp 1S - 5 card suit X- hcp 1NT - 14-16 2C - 4+C 5+D X- hcp (might change this one) 2D - 6+D X- hcp Anyway I never played strong 1D system, and would be happy if someone can help me with the 1D structure, also i like to hear your opinion about how strong should the 1D be, keep in mind that the 1D is unbalanced, so it can maybe be lower then normal D systems.
  20. I agree with the pass examples before but let me try something totally different. Playing Mp non vul vs vul you have 76543 72 6 KQ1063 What are the chances of 1NT being a wining spot? i set the vul possition, to give the opponents a resson to be quite since if they do bid i will be sad i passed first.

  22. Is it better to play 2M in 5-2 fit or play 1nt ? (or maybe when is each one better?) There are some bidding sequences that lead to this question. One is for those who always or almost always support with 3 cards in the sequence 1m-1M, so for them a 1NT rebid is always or almost always with 2 cards in the major, should partner having 5 card bid 2M now ? another example is 1m-(p)-1H-(1S)-1NT playing support double this deny 3 hearts. Im not talking on caseswhere there is still a chance for a 5-3 fit when partner is opening 1nt. If someone has dealmasterpro or any other problem which could deal and play double dummy, i would be happy to hear what the program result on this matter.
