Saturday, 5 pm New York Time 2 pm Los Angeles 20.00 Rio 22.00 London 23.00 Paris, Warsaw 01.00 Moscow 9 am. Sunday in Sydney 6 am. Singapore :P Robert -

at this stage of planning it looks that forums T will be an indy event. Robert -
Hi all, I think it would be nice to meet one time the members who are active in this forums all together at the bridge table, to say "hello" and play 10-12 boards in a friendly atmosphere, at the last weekend of 2006 for example. It's only an idea, but if you appreciate it, please post here your thoughts and proposals about organizing and participating. Robert

I am afraid that such a "toy" would make the play in MBC much slower during the VG :) Robert

great epic movie with marvellous Klaus Kinski, I like Herzog's "twin-movie" Aguirre The Wrath of God, too Robert

Yes, that was my point you let the 3 best pairs form the team rather than fixed teams and let the fixed teams fight it out to go to Bermuda Bowl. This 3 best pairs who win trials method has often been a fiasco for the USA. The Polish Bridge Union has come to the same conclusion, the management publicated a new proposal for a trials (Team Open) to discuss it with the members. In January will take place open trials in "US style",but with only 2 pairs/team. The winning team will not automatically represent Poland in the world major tournaments, they have to play every 2 months one (long) match vs a "challanger team". (if there are more teams which want to challange team A, they will play a special tournament, the winner will get the right to meet team A) This procedure will end in summer 2007, the winnig team + third pair ( nominated by PBU) has the right to play in the next Bermuda Bowl. Reasons given for being late home from the bar

Do the "bridge reasons" work better if somebody has a Playing Captain or Non Playing Captain at home? :) -

I suppose both Polish men would build a kitchen for the women and then swim to the next island in the west looking for new jobs and income :P

Many of us play occasionally from computers with wide public access (hotels, net-cafes etc. ) What is the best way in this situation to protect myself from responsibility for "bad things" other members could done using these PC's and avoid to be banned for it? To create always a new nickname for this one occasion? and never use it on the own machine? Robert

Looking back to all the years of VG watching, I can't remember the more exciting moment than the seconds before Michael Rosenberg bid this 6♥ on the last hand of the final ....and all these "jumps" between the tables to watch what happens. http://openskywebdesign.com/usbf/vugraphs/..._s8_scores.html Robert

It would be very difficult to find a single polish bridge site (private or official PBU) without BBO logo >>> a direct link for download <_< Robert

trying for the longest thread in BBO
Aberlour10 replied to sceptic's topic in General Bridge Discussion (not BBO-specific)
The leading polish bridge player Cezary Balicki started his career first as a chess player, he achived national and international very good results (FIDE Master)...so, this thesis is maybe true.. analytic capabilities in chess = extraordinary quality of the declarer play in bridge Robert -
Wszystkiego najlepszego w Dniu Urodzin! & many thanks for all the work you have done for the bbo community Robert

Check your geographical knowledge about Europe and mark on the map 39 european capitols so precise you are able to do. this site is in german, but I think it's no problem, because the names of captiols & countries are similar as in english. on the right margin of the site you will find the button START http://focus.msn.de/reisen/trends-service/geoquiz_europa have fun :) Robert PS.: my total score = 3981 km B)

I would suggest an obligate clear statement about the real starting time in the tournament description, START ON TIME or START WHEN FULL. A half an hour ago I signed up 12 min before T began, it seemed my system was unstable, I reset it in 3 min and return to BBO...the T was in progress... Robert

There is an appeal in the lobby to keep the politics out of BBO, do we support it with all these threads here? I don't think so. Robert

Good luck Roland, for the managing this virtuell Tower of Babel :) Robert
