  1. A very nice place for the tournament with fabulous beer sorts :P , good luck for all who take part in. Robert
  2. Cycling was always one of my favorite sports, but today I can't stand it and watch it anymore, particulary this Tour de Frauds. In the last few weeks I had only fun watching the old historical pictures about the Tour in early 20th century as the cyclists took a small break in the local roadhouses to drink a glass of red wine, this was the only dope they known. Robert
  3. OK..my guess: 1) A piece of music written by J. Haydn, maybe "Lord Nelson Mass"...? 2) You are discussing about....a model of new car for the family :) ???
  4. Nothing is clearly here  Who is the winner, who will drink a free beer in Frisco :D Maybe it is time to ask a new "challange-guestion" in this amazing thread??? a tie-break one, sudden death or golden goal..like! :D
  5. probably Al Bundy under the nickname "4touchdowns" :P
  6. According to the Daily Bulletins from Nashville, Mr Fred Gitelman has advanced to Grand Life Master! http://www.acbl.org/nabc/Nashville2007/bulletins/db1.pdf Congratulations Fred :) Robert
  7. I picked up "11" (my favorite # on the roulette table) :P
  8. BBO commentators doing well everywhere these days, they just have won an exhibition match vs national team of Ireland ( with the strongest line up ) by 36-25 imps. Great bridge! Robert Edit: second match is coming up
  9. a small video movie (on youtube) from the party & software presentation would be great for the absent part of the bbo community :) Robert
  10. As a one of these "average" interm/adv spectators I would support this idea. For example, not every squeeze is plausible for a player like me and it would be nice if the commentators would short pointed out such "claim" situations. Robert
  11. Once in a while kitchen poker, mostly 7 card stud with very low stakes. Robert
  12. Thanks B) I am pretty proud of it, especially after some abandoned tries in last years.
  13. It's a half time, and I got it much faster as I primary thought>>>> I don't smoke anymore! :) Robert
  14. I can remember,on that occasion Roland gave during the vugraphs from European Championships in Warsaw a direct link to BBF for schedule of upcoming matches/rounds Robert
  15. I don't know why, but I have always bad feeling while I sign off in 5c or 5d :) Robert
  16. If you observe 3 polish students talking together at the university campus, they are probably going to start some kind of revolution. If there are 4 of them, you can be sure a rubber bridge session will start soon :) Robert
  17. [hv=n=sq862h10843d10763c5&w=sak743ha96d4caq98&e=sj109hkqj72daj52ck&s=s5h5dkq98cj1076432]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] G. Cohler (East) played and made this 7♥ contract, E.Rodwell (South) led ♣6, It would be nice to read some thoughts & opinions by BBF experts about this hand. Robert
  18. Globalization as a force majeure? "Eat it or die"? What is at the end of this way, Manchester A.D. 1870?
  19. Whatever it is, we should not forget in the discussion that it will be another big gift for the world bridge community, I hope only, I will be able to run it with my ancient Windows ME :P Robert
  20. But your icon is Dark side of the moon....which itself is a pretty solid classic ;) in my opinion it's in the top3 ever! B)
  21. I am watching now The Doors Live At The Hollywood Bowl, Vive la YouTube! ;)
  22. The first truly great rock album- Led Zeppelin II :)
  23. We have already at the BBO some kind of reputation system, this system bases on thousands of (what I call) rings of bridge friends.. smaller, bigger...all you need is time, time to build such a ring, or to find and join it. It works in micro spectrum but it works better than every rating system would do. Robert
