  1. Due to the daily brodcasting time in Shanghai I could follow this BB only very fragmentary in Vugraph Theater, so I am not able to give a detailed opinion but I had a feeling that these 2 weeks met the usual high standard of BBO Vugraph. PS. 7) I would prefer that the multiple language commentary will be continued only in events at the "national stage". ( like polish, french or italian etc. championships) Robert
  2. Away from all political views to this subject (mine included), if the whole bridge world accepts the WBF rules, it should be possible in online bridge too. Robert
  3. Hi Thanks all for a nice tournament, I hope BBF experts had a little bit fun to play once a year with intermediates like me. In the first edition I did it very well, this time I got nervous and made some terrible mistakes, so thanks for your patient and kindness too  Robert
  4. hmm I am not sure but it's 02.12 CET now and the tournament description at the moment = 17h48min so...20.00 CET EDITED: it looks like Jillybean set it for 11.oo AM PDT for the moment. May be she will change it, I dont' know.
  5. I jumped in. ( for the Europeans 20.oo CET :) Robert
  6. Thanks all for the answers. I had any agreement with my P, I liked my singelton ace in opps suit so I bid it.... Robert
  7. My P opened 1c in first seat, opponent bid 1s, and me.... 2h with following hand: [hv=s=sahj8654dqj83c943]133|100|[/hv] Is this 2h bid alertable? If yes, in which standards? ( country, bridge organisations etc) Robert
  8. I would say.... in 96 or 128 boards match nobody this time. Robert
  9. I miss SKAT in this poll, the bidding is so simple that even 10+x glases of beer /a head/ don't depreciate the quality of the auction in this card game :D Robert OK, ok its not a sort of poker.. B)
  10. What if the BB Inc. would sell a very small (symbolic) part of the company capital in the form of very decorative - one share - certificates to the general membership. In the fact more symbolic...but valid shares...I think many longtime users who feel affilitated with the BBO would like to own it. Maybe it's a total nonsense ( I don't know anything about US law in this field )... just an idea for the future. :) Robert
  11. After the disaster in Estoril not many expected such a strong performance by Team Poland (playing without the absolute top pair) Even if they will not enter the top 4 of the event, it seems, polish bridge is "back"B) at the international "open" stage. Robert
  12. Go Trinidad Tobago Go! It was a good 1st day! (won vs China SMEG & New Zealand)
  13. Wszystkiego najlepszego w Dniu Urodzin, Roland & many thanks in behalf of polish VUGmaniacs  Robert
  14. Looking back to the last two battles in BB finals I would say.... 7) mental strongness Robert
  15. Sad consequences, the italian superstars closed their table for the kibbers tonight :( Robert
  16. Nicolas L'Ecuyer & Kamel Fergani will play on Monday 9/3 (19.00 CET) at the BBO in 2x16 boards match Canada vs Poland as a training for Bermuda Bowl ( according to the information from the site of the Polish Bridge Union ) Robert
  17. what about a one with the print: "Married with BBO" :D ;)
  18. I have tried version 3 and have had some problems for the first time by using BBO TV. It started with login, to complete this.. it took +- 4x more time than later the login to the windows client. I was pretty long freezed by changing the tables I kibbitzed, after these changes I saw only things like "white shadows" of the moved cards at the table... maybe all that "produceed" by my PC..I dont know.. Robert
  19. Runner up & both semifinalists play a long "3-teams-match" (with carry over for the runner up) Robert
  20. Bermuda Bowl: QF : Italy, USA1, USA2; Norway, Netherlands, China, Brazil, Ireland SF: Italy, USA2, Netherlands, China F: Italy, Netherlands Winner: Italy Venice Cup: QF: France, Germany, USA1, USA2, China, Canada, Netherlands,England SF: France, Germany, USA1, China F: France, USA1 Winner: France Senior Bowl: QF: Poland, Italy, USA1, USA2, Germany, Australia, Sweden, Brasil SF: Poland, Italy, USA1, Germany F: Poland, USA1 Winner: Poland Some rumors came around that every 20 points achived in this contest = 1 Heineken Beer :) Robert
  21. Why not post our predictions in this thread? It would be interesting to compare them. Robert
  22. I took a look at the schedule of Round Robin, wow!, already in the 1st round great matches like USA1-USA2, Norway-Sweden, Ireland-Netherlands, but it will be hard to manage for the european spectators, because daily starting time in Shanghai = 04.00 CET :) Robert
  23. I like it :) the only thing is...I still use 800x600 resolution and the BBO TV screen is not completely displayed, I can see for ex. the whole chat window only if I "hide" manually all explorer menu bars and adress window. Robert EDIT: Solved, I launched it in a pop-up window now. works fine :)
  24. I suggest that you walk your dog, even if you don't have one. If nothing else, it's good for your heart :o Roland I think I will protect my heart from stress with a can of danish Carlsberg, SKOL! :)
  25. not to be able to log in makes my saturday morning bad B) let's hope :o Robert
