that is the whole point, my plan was bad, I saw that I could lose a club on my Spade, I just went for it, with out thinking long enough about my options, After I had taken black suits out, I left myself, in the wrong hand and that was the point I was trying to make, I am happy I made more mistakes, or there was better lines to play, But the one that concerned me most was leaving myself in the wrong hand,

I am not so much interested in the fact the contract makes or goes down, it is whether I should have bid game with my hand as I did in the above sequence or whether I should have taken my other option of bidding a 2/1 game force as I had evaluated my hand worthy of a 2/1 game force bid. if that is your opinion, can you tell me your prefered sequence i.e 2 clubs or 2 hearts or what ever floats your bost.

I would also be discarding clubs , so that I could apply pressure that way if they failed trump

I think this all depends on trump split so I would test hearts, win first diamond trick with the jack and play the 2 from dummy If left hand op plays a heart, then I would play the 6, NOT covering a higher card, hoping for a 3/2 split, If any side has a 5/0 split, I don't think you can make if there is a 4/1 split I think it can only be played and made if west has 4 cards and east has the 10 J or Q singleton, as you may be able to force them to try and ruff a Diamond thus enabling you to over ruff, after you have regained the lead from west.

I dont see any problem with undos, you either grant or deny them, I think if you dont like opps decision not to grant undos then, or you feel that the person requests them to frequently, say your good byes and find someone else to play with, there are a vast quantity of players you will be happy with in this site. In the tournaments, if it is set for no undos, then people have to concentrate on what they are doing and that probably is not a bad thing, I don't think it should be at the directors discrection as he / she has enough to do with out adding a further burden. may be add grant or deny undos at the table option for the lounges, that way whoever hosts can play their way. I dont remember the last time I denied (if ever) an undo, although I must say I have been tempted, but as some one that has requested them, I am happy in my own mind that misclicks are easy to do, so I like to give the benifit of the doubt.

I think once a claim is made and opps refuse to accept or reject, most people play out the hand (as you have siad Luis) because, otherwise, you will sit there at the table with no play happening and you have no director to call, so it seems to me, that playing the hand out is the only option, something exclusive to online bridge

ok, curious now, if you keep bergen raises and play 1 H or 1 S then 2nt = 12 - 14ish as a balanced rasie, then you move your jacoby 2nt response to 1H - 2S (now jacoby 2nt) and 1S - 3C (now jacoby 2NT) and your bergen raises now are moved up one place, what are the advantages and disadvantages, i.e. what do you lose and what do you gain??

I am in favour of broadcasts. They enable me to see when a tournament I have registered for are about to start and they enable me to see when vugraph is about to start, they also allow me to advertise a tourney I am about to run (I am not in a position to pre book my tourneys days in advance), they are usually done on the spur of the moment, when I have some free time. They also allow me to advertise when I decide to host a team match. I am not that lucky, that, I have lots of friends that invite me to play in team games, so it is a nice change when I see someone advertising for a team match, I can respond and hopefully I can get to play a nice stable game. I find Udays broadcasts are a benefit, he always seems to have the fore-thought to advertise maintenance coming up. Playing pick ups in the main lounge (table hoppers) is more frustrating than the broadcasts. I prefer to play team games and I like tournements, sometimes a director adds a tournament and starts it within a 30 minute timeframe, if it were not for broadcasts, I may not know that one I would like to play in is about to start, as I do not check tourney times every 10 or 15 minutes.

K hearts wrong lead for that holding, I think 3 of hearts is correct (he says wishfully) KQ103 then K heats is correct lead (waiting to be shot down in flames (I will blame bill root as I have been reading him again)

2 clubs can get passed out, how can that be right? if you are going to underevaluate your hand why not 2 spades?

that looks like the way I bid on occasions, so definately North should bear the burden of a crazy bid. all I can say is he is lucky his p had an A and that the spades where not on the other side of him. after 1nt I think 3 spades is favorite 2 hearts by south is not what I would expect from a 2/1 bid

next question, whos judgement is best, or who gets better results Bergen or Lawrence??????
