  1. pass or 4♠ nothing in between stirs interest
  2. Agree and I don't understand all the conundrum about ♥s. If partner has a GF with 4♥s won't he bid 3♠?
  3. actually South earned his result....He has refused to make his annual alms payment to the BG :)
  4. Assuming your subject line is a question, yes! 2 or 3 not quite enough for 3 IMO
  5. how about a 6 count xxx xxx xxx AQT9
  6. Assuming your subject line is a question, yes!
  7. East or West, whoever forgot to make a timely alms payment to the BG :)
  8. Just added the opening lead so what's to narrate?
  9. [hv=d=n&v=n&n=saj75hj4d32ck5432&w=sk632ha863da6cat6&e=s9hkqt75dkqt9754c&s=sqt84h92dj8cqj987]399|300|Scoring: XIMP[/hv] Opening lead J♥ Auction West North East South - P 1♦ P 1♥ X 3♠ P 6♥ P 7♥ ALL PASS
  10. Make them guess, I agree. Might even stagger into a 7 card ♠ fit which should make defense easier :)
  11. Your partner's must expect a lot from your hand for a 5♥ bid I would bid 6 :)
  12. Alternatively you could play for a ♣♠ squeeze and duck a ♠ with 3-1 trumps.
  13. IMO you've already pushed this hand as far as it can go better to sit back and defend.
  14. neither 1♣ or 1♦; 2♣ planning on a NT rebid
  15. [hv=s=sj32hq32dk32cq432]133|100|[/hv] hey it ain't a game bid so I want to hold down the OTs :)
  16. Surely you want to bid your 25% NV 3NT game when they might go for -2 :)
  17. pretty bad :) As far as a cure...well I have my tantō back from the sharpeners, guaranteed to eliminate all your problems :) BTW why not 2NT over 1♣. Doesnt' that show this hand?
  18. This is within my definition of a limit raise
  19. There is only one way I would not play for 2-1♥ - If LHO or RHO flashed their hand at me :)
  20. You have a limit raise in hearts. In SAYC, if you have a limit raise, you make it. Your first bid should have been 3♥. This is not a limit raise in H. 3H would show a 4th H. It is, if you are not playing a F1NT or semi F1NT.
  21. you could have offered him your Tantō if he really wanted to bid :)
  22. The probability for any given 32 split is greater than any given 4-1 split. Think of it in terms of number of open spaces which is somewhat similar.
  23. No it is not simple. I would assume the GF hand would go thru 3♣. As for jumping to an M game, partner has at least 3 cards in the suit the way many play -X in this auction. Bidding over the splinter requires additional discussion I suspect. The point is -X auctions are not all pure and simple but can require substantial bidding structure.
