1} double 2} 15 pearson points, 2♣, and all the advantages of a 2 level preempt 3} based on this auction I would pass, allowing my partner to play the hand and giving my temporary insanity a chance to dispell :)
The one thing you don't want to do is block the ♣ suit so either win the first ♣ and lead back the J or if you played the J on the first round when partner leads a second ♣ dump the K
hey this hand fits my definition of a constructive raise :D and that is all I promise when I bid over their michaels call. Consequently IMO this is a mandatory 2♠ call even if you are playing F1NT or semi F1NT. and No was ambiguous because did it mean the K♣ was badly placed or that you objected to a 5♠ call
At these colors you need to prevent the opps finding a save leaving you a guess what to do over 7 of either red suit. Unless you have methods to find the ♣Q opening 2♣ is near pointless. Both opps have allready chosen to pass even though W vs R. Do we really think they will find a Red save at the 7 level? I read the OPs "Red vs White" to mean we are V and they are not
I am not trying to shut them out. I am making the most descriptive call I can....Okay I am dumping the captaincy of the hand on them so I can win the post mortem B)
Okay time to release some calculation methods why do you think 7♠ is the at the right odds? Given that partner is 1/3 to hold the ♣Q. How do you dredge up the remaining %age points to get it up to the 70+% you need?
Why are you deciding this now instead of directly over 2♠ when you should have made your raise to 3♠? I guess to bid 5♠ and hope the ♣K is well placed no this is a pretty ambiguous response.

why would partner do something idiotic like bid 3NT? And the reason you turn the hand into a crap shoot is because it introduces noise into the opps communications.
One of the advantages of opening light (i.e. an aggressive opening style) is that you can pass hands like this confident that game rates to be very unlikely.
Remember the phrase "took a position." Always sounds better than "I suck." You can blame your call on some unprovable aspect like an errant table feel. If your partner seems about to not buy the "errant table feel" argument, you preempt him with outrage at the obvious coffee housing. yeah I guess you could say the same thing when you are grabbing the edge of a mile high cliff with your fingertips...."I took a position" . Hmmm sounds okay to me, opp
