Forcing to 3♣ and denies 4 card M -
[hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1cp2cp2np4c]133|100[/hv] [hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1cp2cp2np4n]133|100[/hv] Playing inverted minors what should 4♣ show and what should 4NT show/ask? Thank you

[hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1cp1n2hpp2spp3h3s4h]133|100[/hv] At his point South states that 1NT bid was wrong and should have been 1♠ South did have 7 spades in her hand QJ10xxxx. Director was called and allowed bidding to continue. [hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1cp1n2hpp2spp3h3s4h4spp5hdppp]133|100[/hv] Is this ruling correct? 5♥ was -300 Thank you

Law 40B2[d] Are you allowed to count on your fingers during the play of the hand?

The "Hands and Results' in old format much easier to navagate. ESP 'HANDS" Also in MY BBO there is a section about MASTERPOINTS which is unique to me dickiegera Main problem is that I believe HANDS and MASTERPOINTS were better displayed in old format. Also "MY RESULTS" displays better in old format

Tried New BBO. One thing I did not like was the fact that I was not able to view "Hands and Results - Recent Touraments" like I was able to before using" MY BBO " link. "Hands" were very helpful in the format presented for partner and I to review hands and how they were bid and played by us and others. I know that the hands can be brought up another way however under "MY BBO" worked much better. Could this be reinstated?

I am not complaining about the result I do know that one is not allowed to psych a 2♣ opener, however what if the 2♣ bid was a mistaken bid that was not corrected?

[hv=pc=n&s=saqha65dakjt65c42&n=s976hq9dq974c9865&d=w&v=0&b=8&a=1sppd2hpp3dpp3hdppp]266|200[/hv] Partner and I have a misunderstanding on this bidding. Partner believes my 2nd double is for penalty. I say that since she never bid and we are still in a part score it is asking for her to bid. If she has tricks for our side on defence and nothing better she could pass the double. Here she should have an easy 4♦ raise. Would like hearing other opinions on this. Thank you

[hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1dp1hp1sp1np3nppp]133|100[/hv] [hv=pc=n&e=shkqdc]133|100[/hv] West leads J♥ and Dummy North has A♥ stiff. East has doubleton K Q Hearts Which one does he play and why? Thank you
-
Correct ! Around trick 7 or 8
-
It is my understanding that ACBL recently passed a ruling that opening NT with a singleton was illegal unless it was an Ace ,King or Queen. I want to know what the penalty is for doing so.
-
East cashed AK ♦ gave partner a ruff [partner void] and partner exited with a Trump. Later North led 2 of clubs to the K empty in dummy and West won with Q. West now tried to cash A of clubs and it got ruffed and North was able to pitch his losing Heart on dummies K of clubs. What should penalty be in this situation? inverted minors openers next bid
dickiegera replied to dickiegera's topic in Intermediate and Advanced Bridge Discussion
I play it as 10+pts 4+ Diamonds and no 4 card M -
[hv=pc=n&w=sq98742h87d84cat5&e=sak53hakdaq7ckqj2&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=p2cp2hp3n]266|200|We play controls [/hv] 2♥ shows 2 controls which is obvious to East as the ace of clubs playing kokish relays I see how to get to 7 Spades or 7NT Playing controls how does one get to 7? Playing 2♦ as waiting how do we get to 7? If I [East] knew West had 6 Spades to the Queen it would be an easy bid of 7NT. Suggestions Thank you

Bid this and why?
dickiegera replied to dickiegera's topic in Intermediate and Advanced Bridge Discussion
Thank you. I believe that double is best bid here, down 4 at least on trump leads. NEW QUESTION [hv=pc=n&s=skq9hajt4dt92ct75&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1n2n]133|200[/hv] Change south [My hand] how would we bid to find our 4-4 heart fit? -
[hv=pc=n&s=skq9hq54dkt92ct76&n=sa54hk983dj8cak95&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1n2n]266|200|15 -17 NT[/hv] Before the 2NT overcall for minors I was considering bidding 3♣ puppet stayman however after 2NT bid I really did not know what to do. I bid 3♣ hoping and partner ended up playing a 4-3 fit in HEARTS going down. What should have been bid by South? Thank you

Double of a splinter bid
dickiegera replied to dickiegera's topic in Intermediate and Advanced Bridge Discussion
Am I correct that unless you have an obvious lead that the lead of a trump or the splinter suit is a good {SAFE} lead? -
2NT is jacoby and 3♦ shows shortnest What is the best way to play a double by East? I understand that it is probably best not to show ♦ but to show a lead in another suit. Could someone give me more info on this double [hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1sp2np3dd]133|100[/hv] Would it be different in this bidding? Where 4 diamonds is a splinter in support of spades [hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1sp4dd]133|100[/hv] Thank you
