  1. Sorry didnt realize what forum this was I was making a joke.
  2. Definitely yes with the A and definitely no with the Q. I would probably just bid 2 at MP with the K, and 3 at imps. edit: OK in real life I'd probably always bid 3 with the K. edit2: If HAN bids 3 with the king then it's obv right.
  3. obv 3S balance showing a GF diamond raise then you can pass 3n.
  4. 5C but wouldn't be surprised to go for 800. I think it's worth it to put the pressure on.
  5. Agree with awm about 2S.
  6. 3S unless i had 3D avail
  7. I would rather kill myself than bid 2S.
  8. It's clear that it shows a hand too good to open 5C, and thus partner will often bid 6 on hands that would pass a 5 level opener when we have a slam.
  9. In theory you should lead low to the ten, catering to stiff J onside. In practice run the 9 is much much better, you lose to stiff jack, break even on AJ(x), but gain on all the times they don't cover. It is unlikely a good player would miss a cover from Jxx or Jx, but they often will from Jxxx or longer and AJxx or longer.
  10. Say LHO reopens with a double, Pass, Pass back to you... would 3NT be for the minors now? What if LHO reopens with a double, Pass, 4♥ to you... Now what? 1) run with 3N 2) double 4♥ Part 3? ;) LOL
  11. "Not even close" is definitely an overstatement, I would open 2♣ for sure if you gave me the ♦K instead of the ♦Q. That's like adding more than 1 point. That is definitely not even close imo.
  12. In this auction you haven't shown anything. Why do you consider this auction to be superior to one where partner has bid hearts 1 less tiem but you have shown both good values and good diamonds. A lot of people also play kokish which would be terrible for bidding 2D on this hand obviously.
  13. I would have bet you'd open this 2N. LOL
  14. If you play UDCA splitting low creates a problem because the 9 could be T9 or 9xx or T9x. If you play the T from T9x then partner doesn't know if you have JT or T9. This could lead to problems. Have you discussed what you play with T9x in these situations with your partner? If you split high then when you have AK you have a problem because the ace might be AK or AQ or ace empty. Do you play the K from both KQ and AK to solve this?
  15. Back in the day jdonn and I played a lot on BBO. We never played in real life though. We were a good partnership, but a partnership between a working stiff and a pro would never work out since the working stiff cant play that many tournaments. I also always had other partners.
  16. I still think partner would not split from KQxx so it's all moot.
  17. Good thing I always have completely excellent luck and don't go down in anything due to bad breaks!
  18. Stopping with 2 to go, I thought my biggest edge was going be clutchness tbh, but he was equally clutch so i gained 20 cents with 7200 and 5100. He is up $2.30 with 2 to go. Let's see how clutch he really is B)
