  1. Partner raises 3H to 4H sometimes imo.
  2. LOL LOL LOL Also, very nice def 655321.
  3. most obvious 5S bid ever
  4. What is the vulnerability and form of scoring? I'd usually bid 4S.
  5. The 25 second guideline was emailed to the players in the event ahead of time (Fred back me up?), so although it's not listed on the website it was in use. Although it doesn't matter a ton because it's just a guideline not a hard and fast regulation. Anyway I thought this thread was dead?? Everything has been discussed to death except who is the best looking club director in southern California, so I'm out. I don't believe I ever got an email like that.
  6. True, didnt even notice that.
  7. Double is obv takeout of hearts with extras. I would bid 2H.
  8. I would just bid 6H. Probably not recommended but I think 5C or 4S helps them too often with the lead. edit: Just read the poll answers. Passing is LOL.
  9. South should bid 3N after 3S. North should bid 4H after 4C. North should not bid over 4S X. North's bidding was awful, I'd say 85 %.
  10. 3D is a clear error, just bid 3H. 4S is a clear error, and led to this disaster. Just raise to 5D. Since 3D did not cause this disaster at all I'd say the 4S bidder gets 100 % of the blame.
  11. 1N obv. I will bid 3D over 2major. Sometimes pard bids 2C!
  12. Yeah I was 40(54) 8 or 9 count. Partner didn't figure out what I was doing. I should not have done this. It just seemed so pretty.
  13. Obv treat this as an 11 count, and then downgrade for the poor shape, and downgrade a bit for the lack of spot cards. I treat this as about 9.7. Opening this seems like a huge overbid.
  14. bad? dislike? That doesn't even begin to describe 2C. LOL is not even strong enough to describe how terrible 2C is.
  15. Thoughts on my line in 4H on board 10? Certainly felt a bit stupid afterwards but my dad played the same when I gave it to him.
  16. Exclusion Smolen. 5044 LOL Why would one start with stayman with 5044?
