  1. Yet you almost have that and the hand can be made if you assume GIB will stuff up and not keep leading rounds of diamonds. North's hand is a bit extreme for 2♥ raise.
  2. On March 16th, I couldn't connect at all to www.bridgebase.com. It just gave the error of website failed to respond in time- no matter which browser I used but all other websites were just fine. Was there an issue then?
  3. Hand 4 has no good bid because of the definition of balancing 1NT and his other options like double.
  4. GIB doesn't need voidwood for this hand the last bid should have been 6♥- (enough information already) which partner raises to 7 ♥ given that he hasn't cued his A♣ yet.
  5. Honestly the best solution is to let West overcall 1♥- it sometimes does that anyway. East raises to 2 and then all pass.
  6. Definitely totally awful- its too strong and directional to pass.
  7. Its a 3rd/4th opening and so not so unreasonable- honestly quite sensible to allow "strongish" pre-empts in 3/4th seat where game is far less likely from a standard opening and the standard opening gives far more opportunities to opponents.
  8. So you think versus 12-14, you think 10 is worth an invite to a 24HCP 3NT.
  9. Though if it definition was better like 5 or less losers then the bid from your perspective might be good and it might even make and 3NT also making.
  10. The limits of how long in values that you bid 1♥ bid- about 8HCP with a six card suit and possibly club values and length- all which makes a forcing bid that doesn't offer support really bad.
  11. How about 2♦- which should definitely be one round forcing- generally choosing 1NT for good but not moderately strong hands. After a 2♥ rebid then 2S should be more invitational.
  12. By best play West should only make 5 tricks so that's -3. East is insane for raising so you can't expect any decent bidding from North.
  13. North should have bid 5♣ straight away- no aces in the majors and 5 clubs limits its level.
  14. Not necessary minimum HCP but rather less than 24 8421 points.
  15. The cue is not so bad near max for passed hand - its more the 4♠ bid- better to bid 3♠ as absolutely forcing to game. Then GIB East can bid hearts, West can rebid spades. East should only continue with at least 13 8421 points. This measure 8421points (8 for ace, 3 for king, 2 for queen, 1 for jack) that's already part of GIB bid evaluation is so underutilised.
  16. I bet its hearts less than game forcing.
  17. Also a disgrace that have 13 HCP (and two controls) and a shortage over an opening so a 15 TP hand isn't enough to cue bid with a fit.
  18. Its absurdly wide range for 2♠- It should be not more than 7-10 with 11-13 HCP it should bid 4NT. Strong force in diamonds- 4♦.
  19. Regarding Hand 1. You have to bid 3♦ at the first opportunity. Your hand has the lousy doubleton hearts- it would difficult for humans to judge on this hand. You could have had 4♣,2♦,3♥,4♠-searching for a cover with strong hand. Regarding Hand 2. Its absurd it bids only 2♥ with this awesome hand 11 TP and it bids pathetic.
  20. Probably the biddable hearts comes in from East leaving in the double- the fact that is ridiculous for East to leave it in is of course not handled.
  21. It will "correct" even if has four hearts.
  22. Its whacko that West with more than minimum can't bid 2♥ or double 3♦.
  23. How does GIB have MOSCITO theoretically?
