North has 14 TP- GIB can't count TP.

gib understanding of a bid is dead wrong
cloa513 replied to goffster's topic in GIB Robot Discussion
It does say 12-18 total points allowing for as little as 11 HCP. Its real problem is not understanding the double of 4S as simple penalty- pass is your bid you piece of junk. -
Could we have a general clause against Futile Wiley slam tries?
cloa513 replied to helene_t's topic in GIB Robot Discussion
Good slam move in the wrong slam contract type. 4NT is better. -
clearly exceeds the requirements for 2H. Why can`t GIB correctly calculate and apply total points?
-
Then it would unable to penalise ever. Rather sims are supposed to cover the defensive evaluation.

The people with degrees get bribes (they call them grants and a chance with it highlypaid non-merit based jobs but we know what they really are) from the EU to say how wonder the EU is as it does its anti-democratic destructive policies. I read someone write that local laws override EU directives- if so every country would override EU directive (e.g. one simple law- all companies can ignore EU directives) and it would be meaningless- if you override EU directive then your country will fined and forced to repell such laws. Local laws are compelled to be inline with EU directives.

The descriptions should designed to be aware of the limited space they have in which to be displayed. Get rid of all spaces, replace total points with TP, replace forcing with a bold F and the level which it is forcing. Any other ways to shorten the descriptions and get more information out (even if its nonsensical or misleading)? If a GIB user doesn't understand TP then they probably won't understand HCP.

EU is not free market- so many internal barriers. They decimated the English fishing industry by giving their fishing rights to other countries. They have so many regulation on everything- even the smallest items that its impossible to comply with them. It is a disaster for consumers by destroying their suppliers. The EU doesn't know how many it has.

You have remember about Islam is that a state is integral to the religion. No religion is as bound to structure of political power. Catholism is poor second. Look at that bowing to Mecca and caliph and a lot more. Leader rules trump a lot of religion rules.

What went wrong with Gibs when play cappelletti?
cloa513 replied to lycier's topic in GIB Robot Discussion
Given GIB's play quality in defence- 4S is probably an easy make. The problem is that 3H is defined as having 4 hearts so as it has that therefore it bids it. 3NT would probably make too. -
Deceptive Deals Wanted
cloa513 replied to jgillispie's topic in General Bridge Discussion (not BBO-specific)
Very deceptive with Two Souths. -
I think its trying to say it has a bad hand by bidding 2 ♦ despite the information-free bid description- that would a normal bid and thus you should take that in account and bid 2♥.
-
That probably represents how crappy the GIB server is- it often doesn't respond and may have gone to pass as default.
-
Such as who?
-
More like its easier to exceed expectations if you set them very low.
-
South's hand is not a drury raise short by 1 HCP. Hand 16 gave the right response- a mixed raise basically. GIB did some underbidding. There is good reason to psyche a K of spades- helps you make a contract that is otherwise unmakeable- aggressive experts do it all the time to mislead the defence into a bad lead or bad play.

robot is *not* forced to bid, does so anyway
cloa513 replied to goffster's topic in GIB Robot Discussion
North's best escape is 1NT. -
May be it simulated that East had a void of clubs then the ace is a bad lead and a heart loser.
-
Not a bad lie acceptable as far as normal competitive bidding. More of dumb choice where double is a much better choice which West should leave in for two down. At such a bidding situation, double should not have four hearts since you would have doubled 1NT with that.
-
The person at fault is the bid designer- its absurd that 4S requires so much in response to the double - totally at odds with reasonable competitive bidding practice, then North GIB for re-evaluating its hand as being better after initially passing in response- its not the final bid that's insane just the process to get there.
-
If 13 IMP isn't a big deal, how about GIBs just lose 100s of IMPs- just multiple by 20 your no big deal. Report to BBO???!! who toss the complaints in the bin apparently given how bugs are still present and supposedly fixed. Better to let out steam in the forum knowing that nothing significant will ever be done.
-
Its a team game who was West and what was he bidding on?
-
the logical choice for north is pass over 3nt- dont rescue.
-
That's one choice- the other choice is the unusual 2NT and then cue spades.
-
Or even better splinter in clubs. Put the ace clubs into spades and slam is about slightly worse than 50/50.
