  1. I don't think bidding to 5 (Major) with 25 in uncontested is sensible either- it should show a very specific hand- one with all the keycards but nothing else- assuming partner supported to some degree.
  2. The pertinent question is what is the defences to this weak Non-trumps bid? What sort of hands can't he get into the bidding with? It seems strange to not be able with four card spades and unbalanced hand to able to get in. You should have bid 3♣ rather than 2S. Also what are opponent's cooperative 1NT bidding structure?
  3. Not so bad- its hand is quacky- novel for it to evaluate its hand right. It gave a nonforced but invited bid so its better than forced bid.
  4. Not so bad at Green vul. Its a sacrifice- Novel for GIB to sacrifice since so many times, with extreme hands, it doesn't.
  5. Why not name the GIB- GIB28D D for daily rental GIB blank for weekly rental GIB 28 version There is plenty space in the name area of table display. It would help to discern if bugs are still valid.
  6. Why hasn't partner put in cue with such a hand? I think clear pass. He has something like ♠Qxx ♥ AQJxxx ♦x ♣Axx or even worse- it explains the 2♥ rebid- a bid of a defensive hand.
  7. For Hand 3- you mean why doesn't it cash the A♠ first. Hand 4 is like the classic discard on card to be ruffed to guarantee down on contact. Which GIB are you using weekly or daily rental? Honestly a GIB surprised me when playing free first of the month- killing an otherwise good contract from Vgraph (no defenders found the play). Unfortunately due to the crap system BBO has- that is lost forever. And the other plays were surprisingly good too.
  8. The problem is that North assumes the lead is from three diamonds and so to it, it doesn't what it plays- GIB has no safety play algorithm.
  9. You mean exactly 2 spades- declarer cashed the spades- more than 2 would be a spoiled pack.
  10. 2♦ followed by 4♦cue. Continue past partner bidding 4♥ by bidding 6C.
  11. It should be mandatory to reveal all hand after the end of play- declarer might miss a revoke in normal play.
  12. I saw a hand that was stone dead due to extreme distribution on good defence- not one opponent found the defence. Basically it was in 4 spades and the lead was the best club to AK in partner- doubleton clubs in dummy. The killer return was a diamond as partner was void. That would have been a lot of IMP transfer. Amazingly playing with GIBs they found that killer. Some opponents in that tournament played three rounds of clubs. Excellent defence or lucky defence can kill otherwise good contracts.
  13. When the shoe is on the other foot, GIB also never cues in these type of strong sequences.
  14. I am sure I sure I used vgraph as a source- does that have to be played 16 times?
  15. The problem I see with that is that one of communication logistics- if the IBF want to talk to the security person- he is unavailable because he talking the WBF and every other international event organiser and collaborating with police on his side- probably only person in the entire national force to handle such matters. If the IBF want to talk security, what about every country's BF represented in that WBF event- each wants to talk security- it'd be too much for many countries- certain developing countries like Indonesia. The IBF should be going through the WBF or whoever is the organiser rather than trying to do it direct.
  16. Though in this case the defence makes no difference so it can't count as very bad- it is normal bad defence that GIB does all the time- declarer's loser is only ever a spade. Let along the bidding which is a bug itself- it could splinter diamonds. A common part of GIB is that it has no accounting for strong sequences to allow to put in a cue. I had ♠AKJ10x ♥KQxxx ♣J10x and partner GIB opened 1H, RHO doubles! I went through a strong sequence in support of hearts and GIB just bid 4♥ with three aces and void of spades.
  17. I used the play with GIB for free on the first of the month and I am sure I played more than 11 hands but it only collected information on 11 hands. (Not Video Bridge- private table.) Where are they?
  18. Yes exactly so much for being an expert.
  19. No laws apply in the online zone. Sometimes I get it worse it gives me the wrong ones- always opening hand descriptions when the hand has already been opened.
  20. I can see your point but even that gives too much space- needs to be 3♥- I don't think I'd want to bypass 3NT- give partner a poor hand of ♥Qxx+ and ♣Qjx+ with nothing else of note and 3NT is a shoe in but no higher.
  21. "I get confused- which hand am I bidding yours or mine"- could be spoken by East or West. The 3 spades is ask for cover as 3♣ is supposed to be strong but it falls right through the network of a termite ridden bridge of "logic".
  22. That would be because it badly uses a malformed version of the law of total tricks- it has to raise two levels with 4 trumps. Obviously your hand could have been better the J♥ is a waste of HCP better to have the A♣ than K♣.
  23. Show the bridge bidding- most people can understand that. As far how stronger one bidding sequence is over another- that's partnership understanding and personal preference. Yes we know you are Chinese- doesn't the Chinese forum give good answers?
  24. I frequently win with the 5 of a suit from the the opening lead so its full of humour.
  25. At such a high level, the actual HCP don't matter so much- give North ♠AKQ, ♥ AKQ, ♣KQxx ♦KQ x and South a Yarborough or near Y hand with six spades and pushing on the 5 level doesn't look so safe- its just that your given hand is worth more than even 29 HCP and together its worth far more than 31.
