  1. And what would you bid as North ( without joking )? 1NT or 2NT or anything else beside 3nt which you vigorously object? And what would South continue over the bid you are about to give? Let say even on open cards. Should South accept any invitation ( supposedly according to your bidding ) bid with 13HCP? Any feedback would helps for improvement, so please do.
  2. 3NT shows 13-15TP. 4♣,4♦,4OM are cuebids, 4NT blackwood. What would 5♥ would ask partner, trumps or max points?
  3. Fixed in v28. Will not bid 2NT with difference of the promised.
  4. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in v28. Also explanations are adjusted according to whether is diamond or club opening. For clubs it would be 5+, while diamonds 4+ promised. 3NT now will be: -- 4+ ♣; 3- ♥; 3- ♠; 10-14 HCP; stop in ♠ where the stopper would be certain, K,QJx, A, etc combinations And even if GIB bids 4♣ it's not good to pass because you overbid as GIB could not be :) 4♣ is still forcing to game as per 3♠.
  5. Fixed for v28. Along the way also fixed and 4NT ( missed by the same reason ) as GIB previously was able only to have 6NT in pocket.
  6. Explanation is ok. GIB will bid just 3NT as not having both majors as promised.
  7. Fixed in v28. Will not consider moving from 3NT with just having 4 cards.
  8. Fixed in v28. North will not improvise and will give just normal bid of 4♠.
  9. Thanks for reporting. Corrected in v28. Also an explanation which now was strictly 18TP as 16-18TP ( regarding 3♥ ) and South's hand being in GIB would accept the invite.
  10. Over new minor suit introduced after major transfer, opener could: - bid 3NT to refuse any fit. - bid 3M with max - bid 4M with min - bid unbid suit below 3NT ( supposedly there is at least one free call) to show only fit in minor ( 4+ cards) and refuse fit in major - bid 4m to show double fit It helps to reveal more and let responder to handle further.
  11. Thanks for reporting. Improved in v28. Also explanation of 2♦ was not appropriate. Instead of - 4+ ♣; 4+ ♦; 21- HCP; 3-card ♣; 15-22 total points Now it will be - 5+ ♣; 4+ ♦; 21- HCP; 18-22 total points For the particular hand, GIB would hesitate whether to bid not 2♥ or between preemptive raise to 4♦ or to force to game with 2♠ showing - -- 4+ ♦; 7+ total points; forcing to 3N
  12. Thanks for reporting. Improved in v28.
  13. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in v28. So with no slam ideas GIB would pass. 3NT doesn't need to hint to short majors ( void rather not reasonable as you could just pass if you have void and solid minor holdings while with the void in partner AKQxx could be not confortable 3NT), could be even with 3-3 in majors with hand 3334 and AJ10 in diamonds.
  14. More likely seems like bug with given explanation ( but GIB "reads" underneath and what's displayed is not what its knows ). So, 1♦ - 2♥ - : 2♠ - Free bid -- 5+ ♠; 11+ total points 3♠ - Free bid -- rebiddable ♠; 15+ total points 4♠ - -- strong rebiddable ♠; 13 total points First two are RF, last is to play. Explanations you've described as for opening 2Major in 4th seat.
  15. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in v28. It will strive to bid expected bid than to simulate. In the example it's 5♦ as 4♦ shows 4+4+ in both minors For the particular case, 4♣ shows max hand, but still responder would close in 5♣ as has no further reserves. So should be ok now in these sequences.
  16. Thanks for reporting. It certainly should. Fixed in v28. Going through ♠, then ♥ is limited 5-9/3-7. Second range is after 2♣ - 2♦ - 2NT similar auction. First ♥, then ♠ shows the stronger majors suits for GIB.
  17. Thanks for reporting. Old staying issue, so good catch. Would be fixed in v28.
  18. Thanks for reporting. Addressed for improvement. 3♣ currently is good suit, likely 6+ and 7-9pts, none-forcing. 3♦ same. X is 10+HCP with some fit not applying in other 3♥/2♠ raises, or 13+HCP any
  19. Currently Windows version GIB as it used the software on particular PC are v21. All tourneys robots ( no matter of client type of launch in this case ) and these used through Web version are v27 ( at the moment ). Tourney robots are all "advanced". Loaned depend on the choice you made - basic or advance.
  20. Thanks for reporting and sorry for the quite delayed answer. It's fixed in next ( very likely soon coming version ) v28.
  21. Thanks for reporting. It will be fixed in next version.
  22. Thanks for reporting. It's fixed for next version so it won't pass over these rebids with long enough major. It will rebid it. Or if strong enough will jump to 3 as invite. Here it will rebid 2♠.
  23. Thanks for reporting. Book bid is 4♥ ( as rebid ). It can't be really replicated ( even with simulation ) so that might be less than 1% case. But anyway it will be investigated for certain call avoiding considering anything else.
  24. Looking for 3NT with singleton spade might be risky. With 4♠ and 5♦ GIB won't skip bidding X with 7+TP. At least you will seek for 7-9 range in his side. So 3♦ seeds him with 0-3♠ likely. Even if he has some honor in ♥, that still puts you in better position as declarer than him with Kx or worse Ax, because the lead could knock out his honor ( if East has 3+ fit ). And with ♥A there are not many points for other honors left for North. If East doesn't have fit after lead there might be a shift in spades which is also undesired. So a good continuation seems to be 4♦. Which in this case with max GIB would accept and will raise to 5♦. It will bid 3NT either over 3♥, but that works because of the ♣J10 in North and ♣K onside.
