  1. Double of 5♠ comes to show you/I want my suit lead or because you/I think contract is certainly down and getting bigger score? As bidded hearts are looking as at least 10 in NS hands, 7+ and 3, heart tricks are 1 or 0 to be taken. Both minors in North are four small. Bidding doesn't reveal hints except opener promised strong hands with not just AKQJ in hearts. Next time ♠K would be ♣K and with two singletons in diamonds and hearts in EW would be regular lead for -1. Probably lucky distribution in EW, but chance for second thought could be given before shooting partner.
  2. For hand#1 it's not against shown information by South(or Doubler) as that shows at that time 3+3+ but also could be done with i.e. 4-2 if that's hand with at least invitational values. If responder bids some major and Doubler continues with i.e 2N, his majors would be 3- cards in bidded and 4 in other major. So 2♠ comes normally with required points. South could have 4♥ just testing whether their hands might have fit in hearts. For the hand#2 GIB having that hand, approx always unless it's quite rare 2♥, bids 1NT. As here South promised at least 4 hearts.
  3. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in next version v26.
  4. Well, probably GIB-North could start with 2NT, asking for features, and (if) hearing 3♣ could gear up, while hearing 3♥ no matter if that's even Ace, slam seems lying on direct finesse in clubs with heart lead ( supposedly ) if spades are trumps. Probably with 3♥ (checking also aces via 4NT(♦) ) you would feel better in slam in diamonds as club finesse is important in both slams. For slam in diamonds you have extra chance with club lead and take with ace and keeping ♠AKQ as entry unless opener is void. With heart lead you depend on club finesse unless you have black singleton. With spade lead you would enjoy having ♥A. But very specific hand.
  5. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in next version v26.
  6. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in next version(v26). Also corrected some of the lengths for 3NT or supplementary bids where could be misleading for promising 4 cards in other major from opener, etc.
  7. displayed hand here would also open 2♦ in next version. 4♦ came after simulation, maybe due the enormous probable fit and also chance for game, TOX says 14-16TP and North has 9.
  8. 3♠ - -- twice rebiddable ♠; 20+ total points ( so having 21TP GIB fits here according to rules ) 4♠- -- twice rebiddable ♠; 23-25 total points Currently cuebiding over 2♣ shows strength but it make it look NT shape, it's not step stone to promise game and then show the suit. But even if this was available, why would bother to go through 2♥, letting either opp to reach 4♥. But even at first glance, double+newsuit at level 2 as 2♠ is strong hand, jump in 3♠ can't be just +1 length in spade as 6+♠.
  9. Thanks for reporting. It takes wrong explanation, fixed in v26. -- 4+ ♥; 4+ ♠; 7-9 total points
  10. Fixed in next version(v26). Over 2/1 auction, hand of overcaller is limited to 16TP and even if you later redouble or raise to 5♥ or similar, the hand will remain 11-16TP, so GIB won't freak out.
  11. Thanks for reporting. Fixed in next version(v26).
  12. Could bid 3♠ if you want to confirm spades, would be hard if opening was 2♥ and feature was 3♠. Anyway, 4NT fixed in next version to asks over opening where the forcing start come. feature doesn't show length at all, just some entry. 4NT would be -> Blackwood (♠) -- 2+ ♠; 24+ total points
  13. Since v25 it carries for 4NT - !? Unusual notrump -- 5+ ♣; 5+ ♦; 11 HCP; 12 total points; 7+ relay points; forcing Double is still the same X - !? -- 3+ ♣; 3+ ♦; 4+ ♥; 11- HCP; 12 total points; 8+ relay points
  14. Since v25, current one, these calls carry 3♠-Free raise -- 3+ ♠; 7-10 total points ; 4♠-Free jump raise -- 3+ ♠; 11-12 total points And since v25, GIB would bid only 3♠, not consider 4♠ with that hand. 3♦ corrected to 7+ in first case.
  15. Overcall 3♦ requires max passed hand. Opening needs 7+. Synchronized with 2M so it will open 2♦ in next version.
  16. Bug has been fixed in next version(v26). Would find the high transfer or lower transfer depend on the TP it contains. Here GIB would bid 4♦ - !Texas -- 6+ ♥; 5+ total points
  17. Adjusted in next version, so it would show 2 cards in the major and limited to 2-3 in the other as according to priorities, neither 1♠ ( with 4+) or 1N(with 3 cards) or 3♥/3♠(4+) would be skipped with 3-4 cards support.
  18. Being North at which point you would bid spades? After 5♥ which is bid slam after contract was settled by inquirer or over 5♣? GIB gives cuebids from lower to higher, so first Ace it has is in diamonds, 4♥ is just close-up with no extras. So due lack of ♣A, it bids 5♦. To bid 5♠ means it bids slam again and skips diamond which you although bid them, might be still interested in. How you would bid with the hand like: ♠Kxx ( you skipped 4♠, which it means ♠A for GIB, but you still could have K,KQ, etc. Especially if that going to be hand at the dummy.) ♥AKQxx ♦JT98 ♣A similar up to 5♣ then over 5♠ call you might be on slam with two quick diamond losers. Probably easy slam to be bidded by the majority(none-gibs), but there could be several points of view i guess.
  19. Fixed in v25, current at the moment. Won't pass it.
  20. It was changed in the current version v25. Meaning of 3♠ raise is - -- 2- ♣; 3-5 ♦; 3-4 ♥; 4 ♠; 12-14 total points
  21. Thanks for reporting, there was a bug according to this, and also in case you bidded a suit. Both were described as strong 19-21HCP and 18+TP. Fixed both cases, so GIB would recognize this as follows: 1) Pass - Pass - Pass - 1X * - 1Y/2Y(could be with jump) - * - - 1Z/2Z ( -- 5+ Z; 10-12 total points ) 2) Pass - Pass - Pass - 1X * - 1Y/2Y(could be with jump) - * - - 1NT/2NT ( -- -- 2-5 ; 2-3 Z ; 2-4 ; 2-4 X; 10-12 HCP; stop in X ) For similar auction: P - P - P - 1♦ X - P - 2♥ - P 2NT ( -- 2-5 ♣; 2-5 ♦; 2-3 ♥; 2-4 ♠; 10-12 HCP; stop in ♦ ) Will be part of next version(v26).
  22. Thanks for reporting. Fixed issue causing this in next version(v26).
  23. Adjusted for next version(v26). Showing 3-7HCP. With 8-9HCP GIB is expected to use 4NT invite.
  24. Improved in next version, so being more able to find 3N with such loaded with stopper hands. Particular reason here was 5th spade which was not good enough to introduce as own suit(in despite of AKQ). And as no fit for game in diamonds, so somehow GIB landed over pass unfortunately.
  25. Thanks for reporting. As that's not bug, but theoretical situation, it will be addressed for review and improvement of 4th suit use after given GF and therefore replies on this call by opener.
