  1. Definitely a reverse, as X means hearts for me, nothing about diamonds.
  2. Hand 1 my auction would go: P - 1S - 2♦ - 3D P - 3S - P - 4♠- All Pass. Hate X, and I have no experience in Equal-Level-Conversions. Hand 2: 2NT-3H 4C-4H 4S Assuming 2NT=20-21, 4C is my only form of superaccept, 4H a re-transfer. If South is not superaccepting, I would still bid 3NT with N's hand. It's vul, 4count with some intermediates - good things can happen and then South would have an easy 4S bid over 3NT.
  3. I find it a bit more easier to read if I was told which seat I'm in so I don't have to look at what the final bid is/who bid it first/if there are 4 passes per line and then start going through the auction. /End rant I would lead a heart - seems the most attractive. 2nd choice a spade.
  4. Tough...I give up. Maybe HA like others have suggested.
  5. Seems like this hand's all about clubs. But diamonds could be in the picture. Think I'd bid 2NT
  6. 3H or 2H depending on situation/opps.
  7. crubs with more crubs
  8. I'm getting the hang of that now. Interestingly, my post on it a few weeks ago was almost the same situation. http://forums.bridgebase.com/index.php?showtopic=26454&hl=
  9. I don't really mind 1NT. 4333 and the stuff outside hearts look a bit ideal for it. But I would like to get my 3card support across in case the bidding may get competitive, and with the raise structure outlined I will bid 2H.
  10. Me too. This could either be very good or very bad. Let's bid it with confidence.
  11. I'm usually pretty strict with the overcalling vs double (tend towards overcalling as the auction usually doesn't die out) but this hand has very good potential so it's a double for me. After the auction proceeds as follows, it's now not so ideal but I still bid 5H. I guess my 2nd choice would be to bid 4H over 1D then followed by a double if need be.
  12. 2D. Removes several bids for my lho, and no way am I passing 1S with such a decent hand.
  13. Seems like a decent hand, I bid 4S
  14. Wasn't there a famous Zia hand where he was defending and when declarer finessed the Queen he falsecarded and played the J from Jx thus making declarer thinking the trump suit was Kxx --- J and thus was persuaded to waste a valuable entry to 'finesse' again.
  15. :) Have an awesome one mate
  16. My partner and I play 4C as GF with both majors (not necessarily slam interest) and opener 'superaccepts' with 4M but bids 4D if he's a min/not interested but wants to play in 4M. 4NT over 4C would be to play. We also play 2NT-3H; 3S-4H as a self suited slam try (better than a mild via the non-texas route)
  17. I think I would X with South's hand over 2C. In any event, North has a clear cut reopening X so I would say 2D was the worst bid.
