I just ruled out the possibilities diamonds gave me. I just thought 'If clubs are 2-2, fine. If not, I hope whoever has 3 clubs also has 4 hearts' I didn't use the bidding in my analysis or even remember it.

Yeah, Michael's is probably in order. If I pass or bid 6♠ (or 6♣), without at least giving pd a choice I might be choosing the wrong strain or level. The hand is great but it still needs help from partner.

They're down at least 2, I think (if my partner has a mild slam try), so if they're vul. and I'm not I'd rather double them. Any other I think I want to play 5♥. Edit: I hadn't read what 3♣ meant. It's horrible to play like that and now I'm not even sure of what's going on, does my pd have a slam invitation when I'm 7-9 or 12-14? I'm inclining towards X now which could be our only plus at this point.
