  1. Jacoby 2NT, the 3♣ and 3♦ raise are made with 4-card support. Could they be made with 5 cards? Also, why is it not called bergen-cohen anymore?
  2. Shouldn't my partner know that I have 5 hearts? What's the meaning of Pass and double to 2♣?
  3. Unless it deserved it, for example, to point out why they played a different contract than at the other table. By the way, showing a comparison is essential.
  4. [hv=d=w&v=b&n=skjt9xxxht9xdktck&s=sxhaq8xxxda9xxcxx]133|200|Scoring: MP[/hv] Bidding goes: 3♣ P P 3♥ P 4♥ 5♣ 5♥ All Pass West leads the ♠A, and she doesn't like what she sees. She cashes the ♣A, nothing interesting from her partner and continues with spades (a small one. Take it from there.
  5. I just ruled out the possibilities diamonds gave me. I just thought 'If clubs are 2-2, fine. If not, I hope whoever has 3 clubs also has 4 hearts' I didn't use the bidding in my analysis or even remember it.
  6. Yeah, Michael's is probably in order. If I pass or bid 6♠ (or 6♣), without at least giving pd a choice I might be choosing the wrong strain or level. The hand is great but it still needs help from partner.
  7. Pass on the first, 6♦ on the second. How did I do?
  8. there's an error in the schoolbridgeleague.org. And I couldn't find any information on bridge at theleague.org.
  9. MP's, after pass from the non-vulnerable opponent to your right you, being vulnerable, hold: ♠Kx ♥7x ♦J9xxx ♣AKQ9 And...
  10. As East, all vulnerable, you open this hand: ♠QT ♥4 ♦AKTxx ♣Q8xxx 1♦-1♠-2♥-2♠ ???
  11. It might get you too high but, how about 5♣ (exclusion KC) over 2♠?
  12. Make that the deal and I'm not playing with that partner again, I mean, my Michael's are not that bad.
  13. By the way, isn't 4SF only used by responder? I had no idea opener could bid that convention, too.
  14. They're down at least 2, I think (if my partner has a mild slam try), so if they're vul. and I'm not I'd rather double them. Any other I think I want to play 5♥. Edit: I hadn't read what 3♣ meant. It's horrible to play like that and now I'm not even sure of what's going on, does my pd have a slam invitation when I'm 7-9 or 12-14? I'm inclining towards X now which could be our only plus at this point.
  15. I voted for the second option but the spades have to be really good.
  16. Ok so far 4♦ now, though 5♠ could be an interesting option.
  17. You went wrong in trying to double for penalties.
  18. [hv=d=e&v=n&n=sqthktdaqjxxcq743&s=sjxha9xxxxdcakj9x]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv] Bidding went: Pass 1♥ 2♠ 3♦ Pass 4♣ Pass 5♣ All Pass After ♠AK West led a diamond, the Jack getting the trick in dummy. I played two rounds of clubs (West holding 3) and then decided that I had to play hearts to see if they were breaking ('cause if they weren't I wasn't making the contract). West had a singleton heart. Did you spot the correct line?
