too many weird things with GIB when it comes to competition. Even when raising a bid by partner even as a passed hand sometimes the explanation might say 14 plus hcp....so there is no mandatory competion raise with Gib.

the robots might be a better choice than playing in the free express individuals. There is no standard in those even those the genral card is the 2.1 GIB card. What really helps is getting bbo helper for chrome or firefox and check what the normal contracts are that can be made...alot of times what is the par score will only get you 30%.

when looking at results for tournies that you cant use my hands for results. example you go to messages to see your tournies, you click show boards, you can look at our hands but when you want to see travellers it takes for ever to load other hands or it times out. if you instead go to history, last hands played you can click on your result for a board and click on see other tables and it will load up quickly. is it a difference between servers or what.

unfortunately if you play with a real human they will have no idea what the conv card is. GIB will knnow, but in indy expresses players usually dont know.

on this one from the auction it is pretty clear what declarer is going to make. West most likely hasQ♠ K♥ Q♦....but you are right it would be nice if GIB did was is normal but GIB never does what I hate is when GIB peaks and knows when to play a spot card instead of KQ or J

in my own experience...say opening 2NT showing 20-21.....when GIB invites even if you opened on 19hcp it usually rolls to 12 tricks you might need another in the poll like "who knows"

how about starting a new GIB game similar to the declarer games, but this time you are given the auction and your partner GIB is always on lead on all the hands. Was thinking about this after someone was complaining about GIB always lead low from xxx and not top of nothing

i have found that Gib is pretty accurate. one way to check is put your hand in a simulator and put the specs in that gib gives, plus opps bids and see what it cooks up.

last couple of days after playing in an event when trying to see what happened at other tables the load button on the browser keeps spinning...only have notice this with MS Edge. still does it even if i come back and try to check an hour later.

yes bidding over two clubs is just bridge. so you need to come up with what suit bids mean over competition and really important what double and pass mean

yes there are advantages to raising to 2♠ on all 3 hands ran a quick sim on hand 1 1NT 47% 2♠ 66% this is with the spade hand having 5-9points and 4-6 cards. if we lower to 4 spades and 6-8 points both contracts go down to 22% but the take away from the hand is that the opps most likely have an 8 card heart fit so probably its really a comparison of opps ♥contract vs our ♠contract

It would seem that this is just bridge especially 2/1 style....your only option is to pass 1NT and hope partner wasn't making a delayed limit raise

they had a good thing going the way it used to run where you could visually see what type of hands you wanted to generate.
