  1. Oh and if partner responses 1M, what do you rebid?
  2. [hv=d=s&v=e&s=skxhdjxcakjtxxxxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] What do you open?
  3. [hv=d=n&v=n&n=saqxxhxxxdcakt8xx&s=skt98xhkq9xdjtxxc]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv] Auction goes 1♣ from north, 1♦ overcall and 1♠ from South (4+ cards).....North continues with 3♦ splinter and East doubles, passed back to North who redoubles to show a first round control. South tries 3♥ and North 4♣, South continues with 4♥ and North goes past 4♠ with 5♣. South finishes the auction with 6♠...What do you people think?
  4. Well this is an easy pass as far as I'm concerned...you just don't have any tricks. Wouldn't surprise me if game didn't make....

    Ugh?

    4/5♣ did you mean?

    Ugh?

[hv=d=w&v=b&s=stxhaqxxdxcakqjxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] What would you bid on this hand after a) 3♦ passed around to you? b ) 2♦ weak, 3♦ raise to you?
  7. [hv=d=s&v=b&s=skqt9xxhqxdqt9xck]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] You open 1♠, LHO bids 3♦ weak and partner bids 4♦. Strong NT, 5 card majors....are you worth anything more than 4♠. Would you consider 4♥ if you hadn't agreed it as anything special?
  8. [hv=d=e&v=e&s=sqt9xh9xxdkxxcq9x]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 2♠ weak on your right....pass, pass, double from partner.
  9. 3D was indeed preemptive.
  10. [hv=d=w&v=b&s=saj9xxha9xxxdxxcx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] LHO opens 1S showing 6 diamonds or 54 in the minors 9-15...partner passes and RHO bids 3D, your go. You agreed that over 1S, X was take out of diamonds and 2D was Michaels.
  11. [hv=d=w&v=b&s=sajthkj975dxxcktx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] Playing against weakish players, the auction goes 1♣, 1♠ from partner, negative double on your right and you bid 2♣, LHO bids 2♥ and this is passed back to you. Pass is stronger than 2♠ by partner, although he's presumably a bit encouraged because of a void ♥.... Do you double?
  12. [hv=d=s&v=b&s=sakxhak8xxxxdacax]133|100|Scoring: MP[/hv] Playing with a reasonable player against two fairly weak but aggressive players.. You open 2♣, LHO doubles, partner passes and RHO bids 3♦ You bid 3♥ and partner bids 4♥ You haven't asked what the double means but they wouldn't have an agreement...you definitely don't have an agreement about what the pass means but partner would probably have bid with a good suit I expect.
  13. Win the HK and lead a ♦ to the jack. If that wins, cash ace of ♣ and ace and another ♦, ruffing... If the ♦ loses, then I need a miracle but cross to the queen and lead the 9 of ♣ running it..if it goes 9, jack, queen then I can hopefully get back to dummy with a ♦ ruff and hope they can't overuff.
  14. Definitely not going to bid...so either double or pass...I wanna pass but can they really make 11 tricks on this hand...mm yeh double for me too.
  15. Yes, easy peasy 4♠ at these colours.
  16. Definitely pass...We've made it hard for them and hopefully they've judged wrongly... I can't see 5♠ being a great save and even if it is, we might not get a good score if lots of other people have bought it in 4... (not that I know that to be true but..)
  17. Yeh, having a 4th and 5th trump is a big bonus.
  18. I'd quite like to bid 3♦ if that's strong. I really don't know what to do after 4M...could be right to pass or pull with both hands. If partner bids 4♠, I think I might well bid 5♣...if partner has one diamond, I feel like I want to be in slam and I reckon there is a decent chance of that given the lack of a ♣ raise or ♥ bid. If partner bids 4♥, then I'd probably bid 5♦, partner could have KQJxxx (x) and out but he not and we flail away in a 5-1 fit. Plus we could still have slam on if partner has something like Kxx QJTxxx K xxx.
  19. 3♥ for me too. 2♥ could be a 4333 12 count or this and I probably want to get to game opposite a flat 10 count..
  20. Have to agree with JLOL's logic there, ♣ for me too....partner wouldn't have doubled 3♣ on K/Q to 5 obv.
  21. Ok, fair enough. I think Frances improved what I said ...although when I counted it just now it seems that (7) has 2 extra 4-1s...plus like MFA said, they won't always false card, so would pick up J9 on my right now and again.
  22. Assuming I get done by either opponent playing the J from J9 doubleton, (7) Picks up the following with RHO... 964 J64, KJ64 (when 9 falls) J6, J4 KJ6, KJ9, KJ4 K96, K94 but not K64 K J (I'm assuming I get done by a false card) KJ, K4 K6 K9 J964 K964 (1) picks up 96, 94, 64 964 J64, J94 K4, K6, K9 K94, K64, K96 KJ 9 J964 K964 (7) looks a winner.
